Oh well, if you're French we may as well paint a white flag on the hull now... Ouch, my feelings are hurt, all 75 of them. That's okay though, you kind of made up for that with your comment about Italians, now there are only about five of my feelings that are still in pain and that's okay, nobody cares about them . Aww, I'm sorry. You could be a great captain. Thank you. Or you could turn out to be like Archer. I take that thank you back . As a captain, I'd probably be a bit more like Janeway. Except for the 'woman' part. And the ginger hair. I'm sure you'd look lovely with ginger hair Spork. I will dutifully serve under you, Commander, as long as you make crew relationships perfectly acceptable. As long as you and your potential partner(s) sign a perfectly legit and mostly fair contract, no problem. All I'm asking is we bring the policy forward a couple hundred years seeing as we seem to be in Picard era. (BTW, if you're French, you might want to avoid my second blog for a week in about three weeks - and you might want to avoid looking through the recent history of my third one) Is that so ? Now I'm curious, I have to see this for myself. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All right, this next one is pretty short : What makes you unique ?You are a Hedonist looking to live life to the fullest. You are a lover of life and a pleasure-seeker. You make a great companion for anyone looking to have a good time and simply enjoy what life has to offer. You love sex, because you believe that the body is the path towards the soul. The world is your playground, and you're a sexy, fun, crazy person to be with ! Not convinced at all by that one, it doesn't seem to suit the answers I chose but at least it's well written which for that website's tests is pretty rare.

Well, I believe I should warn you guys about the next one, it's not to be taken seriously at all ( and though the description of the test states as much, I feel like I should offer you a forewarning ). With that out of the way, let's find out when we'll die shall we ?Good news everyone, I shall live to the ripe old age of 94 .

Okay, I was saving my 800th post for something else, but I have not let this go... Ouch, my feelings are hurt, all 75 of them. That's okay though, you kind of made up for that with your comment about Italians, now there are only about five of my feelings that are still in pain and that's okay, nobody cares about them . Aww, I'm sorry you have five feelings hurt. Why don't you go an eat some frogs to cheer yourself up, monsieur. Or how about a new beret? (don't worry, ura has been getting Irish jokes for two years) I take that thank you back . If you were like Archer, though, you'd have an adorable little doggy. That's a bonus, right? It was still alive in the time of Kirk, don't you know. I liked Archer. So what, shoot me. Oh, wait, you probably will... As long as you and your potential partner(s) sign a perfectly legit and mostly fair contract, no problem. 'Partners' and 'mostly fair'. Like your style. Oh, I'm sorry, Picard's era may have been the best, but the 25th century Enterprise F was the sexiest, most beautiful starship ever made. That's the ship I'd captain. It'd kick NCC-1701-D's arse any day of the week. Pardon my French. Mmm, Enterprise F... The J wasn't bad, either... Mind you, the Intrepid and Prometheus Class were gorgeous too. Is that so ? Now I'm curious, I have to see this for myself. No, you don't. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Carry on as you were....

Why don't you go an eat some frogs to cheer yourself up, monsieur. Or how about a new beret? Why thank you sir, that is a delightful suggestion, would you care for some tea and biscuits while I think about it ? Sadly, I must admit to never having eaten frog legs nor worn a beret in my life. I have eaten snails for Christmas when I was younger though, however I fear this does not fit as well in the French catalogue of clichés since it's considered to be a delicacy in other countries ( Italy and Greece to name but a few ). If you were like Archer, though, you'd have an adorable little doggy. That's a bonus, right? It was still alive in the time of Kirk, don't you know. I liked Archer. So what, shoot me. Oh, wait, you probably will... It might be a bonus but it's hardly enough to make up for how mediocre Star Trek : Enterprise was. To tell you the truth, that is the only Star Trek series that I didn't watch entirely ( in fact I've only watched the first two episodes ) because I just couldn't stand it... As for shooting you Spork, I don't know, I'd probably be tempted to at times but I think I would have enough self-control not to do it ( besides, I can always shoot a holographic version of you in the holodeck ). Oh, I'm sorry, Picard's era may have been the best, but the 25th century Enterprise F was the sexiest, most beautiful starship ever made. That's the ship I'd captain. It'd kick NCC-1701-D's arse any day of the week. Pardon my French. I cannot deny that the 25th century Enterprise F is a very sleek looking ship but don't forget, a ship is only as good as its captain and there is no better captain than Picard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This next test should not be taken seriously either : Would You Be a Great Commander?76% : You've shown little competence and you've led many great victories with your intelligence , bravery, and skill. Do the two parts that make this sentence contradict themselves or is that just me ?

I have eaten snails for Christmas when I was younger though, however I fear this does not fit as well in the French catalogue of clichés since it's considered to be a delicacy in other countries ( Italy and Greece to name but a few ). I'd love some tea and a custard cream.... It's interesting, when I was researching France for one of my upcoming blog posts, I went on many sites where I got contradicting information. Some Frenchists were saying 'we all eat frogs and snails', others, 'nobody does - it's a tired cliché', and others, 'well, depends where you are'. Seems like every region is a different country. It's the same with everything I found. Like the kissing. Some places two, some four, some five. The beret is a shock, though. Really? Never? Wow. You haven't lived... I've worn one. Very dashing look. I cannot deny that the 25th century Enterprise F is a very sleek looking ship but don't forget, a ship is only as good as its captain and there is no better captain than Picard. I actually think all the Star Trek captains were brilliant. Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Archer (sorry, I just can't stand DS9). It's a bit unfair to judge Enterprise against the earlier series because it was pre-Federation, ergo, not 'true' Trek. Picard is the best, but I really liked Janeway (until the end) and I always had a soft spot for Archer. My kinda captain. Utterly reckless. Season 4 is the best. The last episode, whilst totally annoying, has the best ending to any Trek. Archer founds the Federation, and we have the 'boldly go' speech from all three Enterprise captains. And there are guest appearances from two TNG characters. The Enterprise J appeared in Season 4 of Enterprise (it was a very timey-wimey season), and the F appeared on a game. I'd love to see it back on TV, I feel the movies have drifted too far from Roddenberry's ideas. Oh, and Patrick Stewart was born only 65 miles away from where I live. A true proud Yorkshireman, he is.
Do the two parts that make this sentence contradict themselves or is that just me ? It's not just you, my result didn't make much sense either. What does this mean? You encourage your men but they still worry but your tactics are great . Little women are widows. Eh? Sounds like a haiku. Maybe Klingon is his first language...

Seems like every region is a different country. You're closer to the truth than you realize with that particular sentence, indeed, each region has its own rich cultural identity. The main problem is that a good amount of people from many other countries seem to reduce France to just Paris and so a lot of French clichés do derive from Parisians rather than from France as a whole. Sometimes that can be infuriating truth be told but I'm fairly sure we're not the only country to suffer from that particular problem. The beret is a shock, though. Really? Never? Wow. You haven't lived... Well, who knows, it could still happen one day, maybe when I'm much older. I actually think all the Star Trek captains were brilliant. Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Archer (sorry, I just can't stand DS9). It's a bit unfair to judge Enterprise against the earlier series because it was pre-Federation, ergo, not 'true' Trek. The last episode, whilst totally annoying, has the best ending to any Trek. Archer founds the Federation, and we have the 'boldly go' speech from all three Enterprise captains. And there are guest appearances from two TNG characters. I had heard that Enterprise eventually gets better so thank you for confirming that for me. I might have to give it another try though I have a feeling it won't be easy, even with the lure of the guest appearances you've mentioned. I liked Voyager and Janeway more than DS9 and Sisko but that might very well be connected to the fact that I liked Babylon 5 more than DS9 ( The one thing I have to admit about DS9 is that it had pretty great secondary characters but I wasn't a huge fan of some of the main characters unfortunately including Sisko ) . I have to say that Voyager had by far my favorite opening theme from all the Star Trek series, what a lovely music, I still listen to it from time to time. That genuinely made me laugh, I'm glad it's not just me and you might be right, it's either a haiku or some form of language that our mind can't possibly comprehend . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Which mythical creature are you ?You got: Unicorn You magical, perfect creature! You have a pure heart and you always see the best in people. You value the simple pleasures in life, and you’re an eternal optimist. You’re protective of those close to you, but you avoid conflict at all costs. You do best in small crowds and one-on-one situations, and when you trust someone, you trust them entirely. Pretty neat test, I liked the way it was presented and the result is not completely inaccurate so that's a plus.

It's safe to say Enterprise had the worst opening theme. Good God, it got much worse in season two when they turned it into a power ballad...
Which Mythical Creature Are You?
Unicorn
You magical, perfect creature! You have a pure heart and you always see the best in people. You value the simple pleasures in life, and you’re an eternal optimist. Damn. I was hoping to get 'Sober Irishman'...

The Commander: Humanity, Background, Detail, and Shape
You perceive the world with particular attention to humanity. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on humanity, you tend to seek out other people and get energized by being around others. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.
You scored -4% on HumanityToNature, higher than 21% of your peers.
You scored 0% on BackgroundToForeground, higher than 44% of your peers.
You scored -1% on DetailsToBigPicture, higher than 13% of your peers.
You scored 7% on ColorToShape, higher than 78% of your peers.
AT LAST! I'M A COMMANDER! How d'ya like them apples, Grayback?
I agree with most of the results. The only grey area is the 'around other people'. Might be true, but I wouldn't admit it. Great test. Really liked that one.

You're right, Grayback, this was really interesting! Like Puppet, I wish I understood the graphs better. I feel like I made my choices mostly on color. That's not as deep a reason as "nature" and "big picture."
NFPC - The Artist
Nature, Foreground, Big Picture, and Color
You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.
