Test Your Social IntelligenceI got 30 out of 36. I'm very surprised - I was confused by most of the images. I was expecting a much worse score. I wish it dug deeper into the results. Like for instance, I wonder if I have a tendency to view people's expressions as more hostile than they actually are.

Your score is 28 out of 36 How did others do on this test? The average score is 26. The average result for students was 28. But we found that not everyone does the same on this test: - Women, on average, score half a point higher than men.
- Young people under 18 score substantially lower than adults.
--- Ah, I'm average. Story of my life...

Your score is 15 out of 36 How did others do on this test? The average score is 26. But we found that not everyone does the same on this test:
Women, on average, score half a point higher than men. Young people under 18 score substantially lower than adults. Does this test work equally well for all people around the world? This test was developed in Great Britain and the images you saw were taken from British magazines in 1990's. Unsurprisingly, the test doesn't work perfectly for people who are not native speakers of English or for people who come from cultures that are very different from Britain's.
Should you worry if you got a low score? No. Your screen lighting level, mood, fatigue and many other factors might have affected your score. The results of this test are useful when you average them across many people, but they are likely to be inaccurate for any individual person.
oh well honestly I don't really think you can know for sure what the people in the pictures were actually feeling (I mean how do the people who made the test know?) to me I didn't really get a strong indication of any particular emotion, especially the ones listed, so I tried to go for the least extreme emotion each time. I would have really like to see the original photo after finishing the test. But then I might just be a failure :/

I don't think they know. I guess these tests are based on how our answers line up with what 'experts' think. Here is a similar quiz based on overall body language: Body Language TestMy result: 86/100.

Here is a similar quiz based on overall body language: Body Language TestMy result: 86/100. That makes sense. Trouble is they got me interested and I'd like to know more The other thing I was thinking about is as someone who has a face that looks permanently sad/upset (I think that's just naturally how my face is) I try not to judge anyone else too harshly ah body language I did slightly better on that test! Overall Result 83 You are very skilled at reading body language. When you are interacting with someone, you likely make it a point to pay attention to both what they say verbally as well as their non-verbal communications. This provides you with a more well-rounded understanding of a person's feelings, and allows you to adjust your own social approach in turn. This skill is an asset in any position that requires you to work with people.

I tried the first test and obtained the following score : 29 out of 36. Not too bad I suppose, I guess that having rewatched the entirety of Lie to me last year helped me get a reasonable score .
