Hi All, I am an Honours student from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. I'm currently conducting a study investigating the online behaviours of shy individuals. It is a comparative study, so everyone over the age of 18 who uses the internet is welcome to participate (you don't have to be shy!). All it involves is completing an online survey which includes questions about your internet use and a shyness scale. You will not be asked any personally identifiable information, only demographics (e.g. age, gender, education etc.). I would very much appreciate if you could take approximately 15 minutes of your time, to fill out the survey. If you are interested in finding out more about the current research or being a part of the study, please click on the link below. acap.au1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_dbQrYvC0kZZ5LvLThank you, Stephanie Strauss

I'm more interested to know what you've learned in Applied Psychology about shyness, or shy people. Or your views , opinions on how to deal with Shyness?
In the past, i had wanted to take Psychology in college.

Everything I know about shyness I learnt through doing my own research into the topic.

How do I answer questions that aren't applicable to me? The first one I've come across is in the "How often" Internet section.
"How often do you choose the Internet rather than being with your partner?"
I don't have a partner, so how should I answer that?

Procastinated, and had doubts on how best to respond. I guess it is quite possible not to learn much while studying psychology. There are so many branches, subfields, specialties that come with it. I'm tempted to ask what you've learned in your research, but maybe that would be prying too much. Anyways, welcome to the forums and hope you'll stay somewhat longer? or a bit longer? or whatever. =)
