Nice boardgame collection. Sorry to hear about the job and the driving. I passed my driving test this year and was quite happy with it. I was really anxious when I first started driving but now I've completely gotten over that anxiety, you just need to be out on the road more, I think I remember you posting about this before.

Good to see you again Zoe! I always like watching your videos wish I had the confidence to make more. Sad to hear not everything has been good. Hope you're able to get back out there soon with work. Driving is hard I'm only just able to go to a few places I need to and that's just after doing it repeatedly. But good job trying new things! I did laugh at the causal afterthought reveal of the tattoo such at impressive thing to do! I'll look into the Skype chat but honestly I have no idea how Skype works

Just keep on applying to a lot of the opportunities and positions available out there Zoe. I'm sure you'll be able to land a job in no time. Maybe you can also use your video recordings to practice how you do your job interviews.
Like Ura said, driving is about just doing it often and practice. You'll get more comfortable as you do it more often. Start at your own comfortable pace. Like driving slowly. I'm more comfortable to the same old routes i take, like driving to work and stuff. But it's an unfamiliar place to me ( which is usually far away places ) i do get some stress and anxiety from that. Recently though, i've been using this Waze app, that helps guides and gives directions to drivers to almost anywhere. It's given me courage to try new routes and go to new places. I think you'll find it extremely useful when you drive.
Keep on having that positive attitude Zoe.

Don't worry about the job, you're very talented and I'm sure you'll find something soon. I never thought I'd get a paid job and somehow I did, in 2017. If someone out there is bonkers enough to employee me, anyone can get a job... And driving isn't too hard. As long you remember not to run anyone over, you should be fine. You've done really well in 2017. Just remember to keep going. Also, I keep forgetting you live in Sydney. I don't think you live too far from my brother, actually. BTW, love the Minion Kevin, FTW...

Thanks, I appreciate the vote of confidence and will try my best (no promise though) to not run over anything whilst I'm driving. I hope to achieve more in 2018 and as Dory always say "Just keep swimming" Do you have plans to pop by Sydney any time in the near future? P.S. Kevin's really huggable

I'll look into the Skype chat but honestly, I have no idea how Skype works Hi Silence, Happy New Year to you also Thanks for watching my video, I think the last one you did was fine. With the concern about privacy, it is understandable most members are worried about what they broadcast. One advice I can give you about getting confidence in making a video and uploading on this website would be that you are surrounded by very caring and nice people on here, there really is no wrong way of doing it. As for the tattoo, yeah it is quite random, I have been a bit over the place with my thoughts lately. I think in regards to the Skype chat, the best person to explain it would be Slinky as he was the organiser of this group. If you have trouble contacting him, just PM me and I can see what I can do?

Thanks Ura, driving has always been a reoccurring topic for me so I have no doubt that I would have written a post about it on SU before. Will organise more driving practice using the family car (with dad by my side) so here is to success in 2018 My boardgame collections continue to grow despite not getting played often enough. Thank you for your compliment Happy New Year! Do you have any goals for 2018?

^ Ah, driving isn't that hard in Sydney... the traffic hardly moves... I haven't been to Sydney for a few years. It's expensive and a long way from England. Three days is not normal for a flight My brother just moved from Drummoyne to Beecroft as his third kid meant there was need for much bigger place. My mum and dad went over to see them early 2017 before they moved. They did ask me if I wanted to go but I couldn't make it. I'd like to go back one day. Go and do all the things we didn't get time to do. And go back to see our bridge. As long as they knock me out for the flight... Love the Up tattoo as well. Saw that again over Christmas. Still can't watch it without crying - still, the original ending would've be even worse for my emotions.

I would be curious to know what games you have or at least your favourites, I've gotten into playing boardgames my collection sits at about four games. My previous general goals were to become less anxious and meet a girl (not quite related but they tie into each other), I gradually got over my anxiety/shyness in the past four years and I met a girl in 2017 so that's all good. I guess I could in general get better people skills, better at reading people/interacting with people etc.

I find that Codenames, 7 Wonders, Tsuro and Get Bit prove to be popular amongst my small group of friends. Congratulations on meeting and spending time with a lady that you enjoy the company of, It is a wonderful feeling, I remember it once. Isn't it such a nuisance that both getting better people skills and reading/interacting people, requires us to face our anxieties, I'm sure that it is worth it but still......

Yes, and next time you come over, let's meet up, I can try to organise you to climb the bridge if you want What are some things that you still hope to have a chance to do next time you are in the area? Thanks for the tattoo compliment, my parents weren't too happy but well what can they do? The starting sequence in Up always get to me, Wait, what original ending, what did I miss?

I'll look into the Skype chat but honestly I have no idea how Skype works ----------------- Yes, please join!
It's been quite quiet mostly --- but for chat rooms to work well, it helps to have several active participants!Zoe -- thanks for sharing a video update of your life. I always enjoy watching your videos, as you seem quite positive. I love your adventurous spirit and willingness to try new things! So sorry to hear about your job situation -- good luck with finding a new one, though! Also good luck with the driving. Additionally, I totally commend you for being able to share your feelings/express your interest in others. I'm sorry that didn't go the way you wanted it to, but it is courageous to just go for it. And it is much better knowing, than going forever not knowing. Life is definitely too short. Happy New Year

Thanks for the tattoo compliment, my parents weren't too happy but well what can they do? The starting sequence in Up always get to me, Wait, what original ending, what did I miss? Well, trying not to spoil it for anyone, during the blimp fight scene at the end, Carl was, originally, going to fall off the blimp to his death. At the last second, the producers thought it might be a bit too sad. I think they were going for a 'come full circle' type of ending. Starts with Ellie's death, ends with Carl's death, so they're 'together' in death. I mean, I get the poetry, but it's a bit too cheesy. What we ended up with felt a bit more realistic to me. Well, as realistic as talking dogs can be... I think there's too much death in children's films these days. I watched Big Hero 6 he other day and the death in that wasn't necessary. God, if they kill off Ralph in Wreck It 2 I will not be a happy bunny... I'd definitely do the bridge walk next time I visit Sydney. And the zoo. Never went up the Sydney Tower either - that was definitely on our original plans. We stayed at an old warehouse that had been converted into a hotel; it was on Darling Harbour. There's a small wildlife centre and aquarium on one side, but we never got to the aquarium. The wildlife centre was nice. You could stroke a koala but I didn't get the chance because he was sleeping. I recommended poking him but the keeper said it was a bad idea. Someone told me it was illegal to touch koalas if you're from Australia but it's okay for visitors. Never found out if that was true. Hmm. It's such a big city it's impossible to see everything, and the time we were there, it rained a lot. That's the thing with Sydney. It's either too hot or too wet. Oh, that reminds me. I do not want to go back to that shopping centre with all the birds flying around. Who's idea was that! It's crazy. There are birds everywhere! By the way, how are you coping with the heat? I hear it's a bit hot over there...
