It's probably too self-disclosing for people on this site to add each other....but I am curious. Does anyone else use it? I can get quite addicted to using it.

Haha, I use it, too... and I agree, it can be addictive sometimes.

I have facebook. I only got it when I went back to grad school and a number of other people had it, so I joined them. It can be a good way to stay in touch with people.

Well...I have like 60 something "friends." Some are from high school...only one of which was ever somewhat of a "friend." And only like 30 are from college...most of whom I met on my floor at the dorms. Last year I got to know a group pretty well, and then we kinda fell apart. This year, I haven't added anyone yet, nor have been added. It can be quite interesting seeing what everyone's up to. Sometimes I feel like it would be better not knowing, though. It kinda kills the whole idea of a "high school reunion," in my opinion. It seems most everyone will already know most everything anyway. Not that I would ever intend on going to a reunion...lol.

Yes, I have a profile on facebook. But I am certainly not addicted to it , usually I check to see if I have any messages or to update something- the longest I was on facebook was probably when I first joined a couple years ago, now I probably go on it for 5-10 mins max.

I have noticed a lot of my old high school "chums" on facebook and that's what's put me off from bothering with it. Everyone has done so much more with themselves. Ok a lot may be an exaggeration from the reality but its hard to look at. Perhaps I should balance that with the fact that the people I really disliked arent on there at all and quite possibly rotting in a gutter somewhere

I have noticed a lot of my old high school "chums" on facebook and that's what's put me off from bothering with it. Everyone has done so much more with themselves. Ok a lot may be an exaggeration from the reality but its hard to look at. Yeah, I don't blame you....it's kind of frustrating seeing how they seem better off. Surprisingly though, this one girl I knew from high school, wrote a note about how she had been battling bulimia and was now going to try and get help. It was a courageous thing to do. She is absolutely beautiful and never had trouble making friends and was always involved in things. She was one of those girls I wished I could be like. But she, like everyone else, has problems. There's this other girl that I used to talk to last year that was talking about how this trip she went on was not so glorious...how the car trip ended up being unbearable...yet, there were pictures she posted on facebook that made them look like they were having the most wonderful time. So it's true what they say....things are not always what they seem. Perhaps I should balance that with the fact that the people I really disliked arent on there at all and quite possibly rotting in a gutter somewhere haha...nice

Its in 5 more years (yikes). Although I would have to do something amazing before that time like live in Europe for a few months, become a part time actress and photographer (regular employee by day, awesome person by night), and be engaged to a Britsh actor. I think its doable. I still have 5 years.
