Hi
Just thought I should let you all know about this "subliminal messaging" software I've started using.
It might turn out to be a load of crap as I'd expect, but it just might work. You've probably all heard of subliminal messaging, so I won't bother explaining.
Go to subliminal-mind.com for a free 5 day trial. It can easily <AHEM> be <AHEM> activated. I've been using it for 2 days and think I'm starting to see the effects, but hey, that might just be in my mind...
post back your opinions/experiences! I think you should all give it a go if you want to - it'd be nice to hear from some TEXTrealTEXT people, rather than the testemonials on their website.

I'm downloading it now. I have a suggestion for you, go to hypnosisdownloads.com AND hypnoticmp3.com
Don't be afraid to spend a little money. ($8) It is well worth the cost to be able to speak more easily. besides, if you aren't satisfied hypnosisdownloads.com will refund your moolah.

I hate to bear this news but subliminal messages dont work nor really exhist. a subliminal message is just under the threshold for people to percieve it. If a word flashes by and its so fast that you cant read it then how is it supposed to affect you. or if its so quiet you cant hear what is being said then there is no way it will effect you. if its slow or loud enough to be percived then its not subliminal.

as far as hypnosis ive never tried it but i think based on the concept , that it would work. Hypnosis and deep relaxation are about the same and both enable you to put yourself in a situation.

Is Hypnosis not something about relaxing your conscious mind so that your mind is more succeptible(can't spell) to ideas. I don't know something like that.
I've tried it and it never worked but I think it works for certain people, quite often not for shy people who are too aware of their surroundings.

Now *I* hate to bear this news to you but it does actually work if used right. That's why it got banned from theaters who once put these Cocacola ads "flashes" in the movie. After the movie, the buying of Coca Cola went sky high. I think it's pretty much banned from Theatres and movies on TV while they're playing it... here's a little something en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subliminal_messages

This led to a public outcry and many conspiracy theories of governments and cults using the technique for their advantage and the practice was banned in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States. In 1962 Vicary admitted that he fabricated the entire incident."

What about subliminal messages delivered vocally?
Like those tapes i've heard of that you listen to as you go to sleep.. ex. - quitting smoking..
I've always wondered if they worked.. My dad really needs to quit smoking.

Subliminal exposure to stimuli does have effects, but they are subtle. It can't make you do something you don't want to do. "Subliminal" audio tapes played during sleep have been studied in experiments and found not to have any effect.
Subliminal exposure is used to study cognitive processes. If the word "doctor" is flashed subliminally, people won't be able to identify it, but in a task where the word "doctor" or related words like "nurse" or "hospital" are the answers to a puzzle, they are more likely to get it correct. The subliminal exposure temporarily increases the mental accessibility of whatever is exposed.
Hypnosis is something different and isn't well understood.

I doubt they will help you with shyness or anything, but you can make your own subliminal audio messages to listen to with most sound editing programs.
One time I was listening to the Danzig song "Possession" and it sounded like there was some sort of back-masked (a sound recorded, then reversed, and then recorded onto another song) message at the beginning. So I spliced a portion of the song, reversed it, and raised the volume levels. When I played it back it was some kind of prayer spoken in Latin; obviously a joke because the song is about demonic possession.

The best example in that article is Derren Brown's performance: "The British illusionist Derren Brown recently performed an example of subliminal messaging to an audience of celebrities which revealed afterwards they that had in fact forgotten what had happened to them in the two hours that they had been at the show. This was achieved by flashing up the word "forget" at certain points and also through conveniently placed loud noises. In another example of subliminal messaging, Brown has an advert shown prior to the screening of a movie with the phrase "forget the movie" inserted within. Upon leaving the cinema, some audience members are completely unable to recall anything about the movie which they have just spent the last two hours watching (it was Ocean's 12) and demand to know why this was."
