hmmm... I was just at a starbucks yesterday. I got a mocha frappuccino with extra whip cream and as I was walking away some lady walks up to me and is like "is that a grande mocha frappuccino with extra whip cream? That looks so good." Didn't know what to think, but that lady knew her drinks. Didn't break my shyness, but seemed to attract people, but then I don't know, people tend to gravitate towards me anyways. But gotta try the cinnamon cocoa next time I'm there.

I can't see spending $5 on a cup of coffee.
That gas station cabbagcino is the best. A big cup costs 89 cents.

maybe i should just carry a starbuck's cup! That's actually a thing some people do. Not too long ago, on a slow news day, I saw a news report about how it was a trend for people to carry around empty Starbuck's cups. The people being interviewed said they didn't like coffee and they wanted to fit in LOL.

I was just at a Starbucks and they asked for my first name when I ordered. I don't go to Starbucks that often and had never had that happen before. Is that usual that they do this? I didn't like it, mostly because my name is a bit unusual and when I said it they gave me a kind of look like they'd never heard it before. Damn Starbucks!

I don't know why. I may be fashionable or something, perhaps.

I don't know why. I may be fashionable or something, perhaps. haha! I may be mistaken, but I think they do it and write your name on the cups so they don't mix up your order with someone else's... lol. The little Starbucks stands don't do it; only the ones with lots of staff and lots of customers. Even if it isn't busy at the time, it's probably just "procedure." I really doubt they give a crap what your name is. You could just tell them "Joe" if you'd rather; I don't think they'll do a follow-up check or anything. ;D Such a popular place probably sees enough pretentious and non-English names that a single out-of-the-ordinary name would probably be forgotten the second after they write it. *Oh, and I love their frappuccinos! It's the only thing I buy from them... I'm too wary of wasting my Starbucks-money on branching out.

The Starbucks place in my school's neighborhood gets a lot of business, and three registers open at nearly all times. I only go in there occasionally, when i want a tasty drink maybe. But i notice that everyone gets a different type of drink when they order, and some of them get really specific and to the letter!!! "Hi!! I want a grande non-fat latte with caramel sauce and 2 pack of sweet and low, please." That kind of thing. I agree, the prices are prohibitively high, too. But i think that just increases the appeal of the place. Buying coffee there is like a social status symbol or something.
