Well right now I am surfing the net and then I'm going to go weed my garden. Then watch some dvds and cry. Then maybe a murder. Edit: I guess I should put the smilie in.

yeah, committing murder is a real pick-me-up. ;D i go online and chat with friends, or make new ones, or play online games. or i go for a drive somewhere (if i can afford the gas), or visit family. or do something creative like cooking. when i had a garden i'd go putter around in the garden for a bit. or curl up with a good book or video. or surf the net for new music to listen to. and i can can always get a big hug and a kiss from my little guy, and my older kids aren't too far out of reach either. oh, and visit SU, of course. today i bought a wooden carving that spells out the word 'LAUGH' in big red letters. i put it on top of my computer terminal to plant the seeds of suggestion. ;D oh and how could i forget, long soaks in hot baths with scented oil while listening to music. highly therapeutic. i think i'm gonna go do that right now. ;D

Eat lots of chocolate and get fat. Just kidding.. Going for long walks has helped me through some crappy times. Dunno why or how it works, I just know it does. Oh, almost forgot. Music! I would die without my music. ;D

The first thing I go for is definitely music, I'm often listening to music anyway but I might change the playlist from my usual random one to something more suitable.
Maybe watch some comedy and try and laugh and forgot for a bit although that doesnt always work.
The best thing I've found is just talking to someone in any form, with me that has to be online, unfortunately when I'm feeling down I'm even less likely to start a convo on msn and instead hang around hoping someone else will.

The only thing that will ever cheer me up is if I could stop obsessing over things. But then I'll feel like I have no purpose in life, so I guess I'll never be happy, LOL.

Sex always works for me. Absolutely! Or masturbation. That way everyone taking part is a winner.

I guess this thread is really old, but I just wanted to share that lately I have found that running outside for a long time really, really helps (especially in the evening or night). Listening to beautiful music helps too.

I don't do running, but I appriciate your sentiment.. In the Summer i'll walk my dog in the evening, and it's lovely because I can see the moon and nobody else is around. Very good thing for keeping the mind happy.

To cheer myself up I like to go "treasure hunting", which is just really walking in a dry creek and taking home anything good I find. Since the creek floods every once in awhile I almost always find new things in it. I've found a fishing net, a fresh water oyster, aluminum cans, animal bones, antique bottles, fishing lures, barbed wire, bailing wire, fence posts, and rocks with shell fossils in them. Then there's always the danger of being bitten by a rattlesnake in the creek to make things exciting.
