For Windows, hit the "Print Screen" button. Then go into Paint or another graphics program. Hit ctrl-V to paste the screenshot. Edit it to the size you want and then "Save As" a jpg or gif.
For Mac, hit command-shift-3, which will take a screenshot and create a pdf file on your desktop. Open up the pdf file, copy the part you want, paste it into a graphics program, and save as a jpg or gif. You can also use command-shift-4, which will give you a cursor that looks like crosshairs. Then press ctrl and click-and-drag to make a box around the part you want to capture. When you release the mouse button, you will hear a camera click sound, which means that the image is in the clipboard. Go into a graphic program, paste the image, and save as a jpg or gif.

Look at the top row of your keyboard, where the function keys are. Toward the right is a key labeled "Print Scrn."

I don't have an iPod, but I felt like posting my playlist anyway. I really like The Cramps. ;D Those aren't even all the songs I own by that band.

After you go to print screen then what do you do?? ~I.A. Go into a drawing/or photo program (Paint, Adobe PhotoShop...) and select paste or hit Ctrl V and it will paste it in. Then you can manipulate it around, crop it down, and then save it.
