I was thinking about movies with shy characters and can name a few:
Amelie- Amelie of course
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- Jim Carry's character
Adaptation- Nicolas Cage's character
Dead Poet's Society- Ethan Hawke's character
Can anyone else name some shy characters in movies, even if they were not the main character in the movie?

Only one I can think of right now is Adrian from Rocky. Although if I remember her shyness seemed to be gone in the later movies.

Dear Wendy- the entire cast!!!! I posted about this movie a few months ago and nobody replied, kinda surprising I'm not sure whether it got a release in the states, it's a german financed flim but has an all american cast (Bill Pullman is the only one I can remember now, definitly one for shy people although it ain't no happy ending(ish). If you can find it check it out.

Willard - from "Willard"
Carrie - From "Carrie".
Garth (shy to some degree) - from "Wayne's World"
Vulnavia - From "The Abominable Dr. Phibes", I don't think she says a whole word throughout the whole movie, besides one scream.

Spiderman - Peter Parker
I know the films unrealistic but I think they did a good job. At least in showing the troubles Peter has in social situations.

I'm a Star Trek fan(I know, pretty nerdy) so my choice for a shy character would be Barcley from Next Generation. There was a whole episode that dealt with him being shy, very good. Sorry, I know that was a tv show and this is movies, but maybe we can include both in this thread.

I remember that episode, I didnt like the way Barclay was treated by the rest of the crew (I can be nerdy too).
