I rented 'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind' last weekend. I know it's been out a while now, but I didn't see it when it was first released. I thought it was a fairly good film.

Just saw "In the Company of Men" and it has one of the most vile and evil characters I've ever seen in a movie. The sad part is he is the one that the girl in the movie eventually falls for because he has mastered the art of making a girl love him. The other more sincere character is the one the girl doesn't choose, even though he actually has a heart. It seems like that is kind of how the world works a lot of the time, the more suave guy that can exude confidence can get almost any girl he chooses, even if he is truly despicable at heart. I would recommend this movie, although some scenes are painful to watch because of the way the evil character acts towards others.

I Remember Mama — Great B&W film. Slice of life from a Norwegian immigrant family living in San Francisco in the early 1900s. As the title suggests, the mother is a remarkable person — strong, compassionate, and practical.
Enemy of the State — OK thriller. What made it fascinating was that it could have been taken from today's headlines (i.e., the NSA's surveillance of American citizens). The difference is that today it's not some rogue cell; it's official policy by executive order of the Fuhrer.

I saw the Da Vinci code tuesday I saw that too. I thought it was good, except the end disappointed me. But then, the end of the book disappointed me too. Neither ending felt right to me

I saw a couple moves recently:
The Weatherman- Thought it was pretty good. Felt like an independent movie even though it apparently was a big studio project. Nicolas Cage I think is one of the best actors of his generation and continues to make great films.
Dirty Filthy Love- An independent British film about a guy with OCD and Tourettes. Was a bit heartbreaking in parts. I would recommend it to people here because he doesn't have shyness or social anxiety, but he does have these mental hangups that he can't control that rule his life. I related that to my social anxiety.
Elizabethtown- Very dissapointed. Thought it way, waaaayyyy too sappy. There were a few random moments that were funny(the wedding at the hotel) and it had great music, but mostly it just felt forced and dull. The main character was supposed to be suicidal and depressed but didn't act like it at all. I thought Garden State, which had some similar themes and elements was ten times better.

A week or so ago I watched C.R.A.Z.Y.
A great film in French with subtitles though and some great 60s/70s songs in there too.
Regards ShyUK.

i just watched Memoirs of a Geisha,
it's really good, not quite as good as the book, but one of the few films i've liked nearly as much as i liked the book.
