I'm a registered independent, but I agree most with the Libertarian Party's idealogy. And that's all I'm gonna say about my politics.

The closest thing I could classify myself as is a libertarian.
I'm pro gun, yet anti-war, believe all drugs should be decriminalized, and believe our foreign policy is the primary cause of terrorism, trying to tell other soverign nations what to do, invading under false pretense, etc.
I really don't know what side I will take on an issue until I research all the facts, but generally side with freedom combined with responsability.

[ You're political parties basically are the same as ours so the Brits voting won't make any difference to this poll. From what i understand of British systems, they have two major parties; Tories and Labor. The Tories are the oldest party, with roots reaching back to the English civil war in the 1640's. They are basically pro-Monarchy. The Labor party popped up after the spread of socialism in the mid nineteenth century. Labor gained lots of strengh in the labor class and among socialists, hence the name of the party. Currently, Tony Blair is Prime minister, head of the Labor party. Does that help any SPG?

I don't like the idea of being anything. If I vote, it would be Liberal Democrat. The scary thing is I find myself becoming more conservative as I get older....what the hell is hapening to me!!

This happens frequently to people as they age, JSS. It's normal i think. Have you ever noticed how picky old people are? I suspect that the two topics are related in this case.

Heh, as has already been posted, Libertarianist tendencies are the way to go!
Purely in a (US) political sense, though, I registered Democrat as soon as I turned 18 so that I could vote in (Presidential and local) primaries.

I voted communist, even though I was told not to vote lol ... must dissent lol
If i must use a term then I prefer 'collectivist anarchist', since communism is interpreted differently by so many people and anarchism implies ultra-libertarianism which I don't like. It's an ideal of course. In real world politics I'd have to go for a social democratic party.
Ultimately categorising beliefs is a bad thing. There's plenty of things in traditional Conservatism that I admire yet if I categorise myself into some left wing ideology I can't draw on them so easily. Much better to draw the best bits from all sides of the political spectrum than relying on just one small segment.

There are policys on both side of the spectrum that I dissagree or agree on. I dont like this idea in politics that if your for one thing you must automatically be for or against something else. Political issues are not fixed in black and white, right or wrong etc
