I've had dreams like that. Waking up and coming back to reality is the worst feeling! However I think we have the potential to feel like that in real life if we push ourself off our personal cliff, because then we have no other choice than to fly as Eric Butterworth said in the Assert Yourself thing Naptaq posted in the self help section.

I've had my share of strange "romantic" dreams, which are actually pretty humourous although nonsensical. I once dreamed that:
When I was a little girl, that I was kissing the Incredible Hulk...in all his green glory and his lips were really big.
As an adult: That "Carla" from "Cheers" was raping me and looking at me very evilly while doing it! I was really scared, too. (That one doesn't actually qualify as romantic, more like creepy nightmare! lol!).
That I was kissing "Kramer" from "Seinfeld" and I thought he was so handsome at the time, too! (It was before his racist rant, btw).
Sheesh, I can't even have normal sex/romance dreams! No, I don't think I'm all there, either! LOL!

I've had dreams like that. In such dreams, the person I am is not really me. The person in the dreams is really happy. It's not that I'm terribly depressed, I'm just not very happy.
When I wake up from such dreams, the long fall back to reality is harsh and painful.

I had a dream last night about my evil sister.
I was in my car and she wouldn't let me out and I kept trying to get out. Somehow I got out and she slashed my face with a razor blade. Then my mother was there taking her side.
Then I woke up.

I think this is the closest to a romantic dream I'll ever have. I had a dream about a girl that I had a really strong crush on in high school. I had this a few months after she found out that I liked her. I was driving to school and my friend was lying down in the back seat 'cause I was giving him a ride. I pull into the parking space, but my friend and I are early so we chill in my car until class. I turn off my car and slide into the passenger seat, so no one will think that I'm leaving. Then this girl opens up the driver side door gets in and tries to put her key in the ignition. I'm thinking "WTF?" so grab her arm and realize it's the girl I had a crush on. She starts to pull away. While still holding onto her arm I say to her, "Please don't go. I need to talk to you. I still wanna be friends." She looks at me and says, "I'm sorry," and then walks away.
After that I woke up feeling pretty depressed and crappy.

I should have posted the dream early today as I have forgotten most of it.
Anyway I was in a room and the phone was ringing and there were kids crying and I remember telling someone on the phone I couldn't talk as the kids were crying.
Then I was in a shop and I was just wearing my blankie. Shirley Temple was in town and was walking down the street (she was a teenager). I wanted to meet her but didn't feel I could as I was only wearing my blankie.

I wish I didn't forget most of the dreams after I wake or maybe I do lol.
I had a dream that I couldn't find my bf. We were in this market place.
Then I saw him sitting at a table by himself so I started to go over there but then I realized my teeth had chipped away and the metal was showing and then there was people dancing and he was dancing with someone else so I sat back down in my seat and was sad.
Then I woke up

I'm grateful that I remember dreams often. Even if it is a nightmare that was really scary or a perfect dream that seemed so real. Why be dissapointed when you wake up? atleast you got to experience a really enjoyable dream, thats the way I think of it, or had some kind of adventure. I write down my dreams right after I wake up so I don't forget them

Ya know, ive thought of doing that before, but I never remember.. pity, because sometimes i have dreams that were really awesome, but 5 mins later i cant remember why Odd that isnt it, seems so clear when you've just woken up! Ive had romantic type dreams before too, just like other people have been saying. Mostly about me having a girlfriend, noone real, just someone ive apparently made up. And im all happy in the dream, then i wake up and discover its not real.. I honestly thought it was! And yea, that makes me really sad. Then a bit later i cant even remember this girl, as much as i want to.

Last night I had a dream that I found out I was pregnant. I can't remember much about it now, just that in the dream I was a bit scared/unhappy over it. However, after waking up, a part of me started daydreaming about how nice it would be to be married and have a baby. I've had dreams about getting pregnant before. And I think in every single one I'm scared/nervous. There's never a sign of a daddy, though. So I guess I must be a slut in my dreams. The weird thing is, is that I don't know if I ever want kids at all. It is a battle inside my mind...even though I'm no where near the point of deciding to have children. Strange. I was kind of wondering if these "pregnant" dreams are common among women? Or if it's just me...my mind playing out my doubts.
