oh yeah, zerosum - another reason it's too bad we don't live in the same geographical area: we could jam together. I have both a guitar and a keyboard. Do you play lead or rhythm. I play both, but I'm a little better at pickin', lol! Let's rock and roll, lol ;D !

Lol 1,2,3,4!! Yeah, I play a bit of both too. This could be the start of a SU band I would go with you! As long as I wouldn't have to go up and suddenly become a muted gaping fish of course 1/either I bite the bullet and go in and have everyone stare at the obvious reason why I'm alone (ugly); Don't say that - besides, who cares about what people want to think? Well, okay, I can't help but care too much, but you shouldn't. You should wow them all with your musical prowess and put their sorry attempts at singing to shame ;D Sometimes, we can be our own worst enemy.

I know what you mean . I just wish it weren't true in my case, but anyway.... thanks for your encouragement. Actually, in a lighter vein on my part, lol - I was talking to a lady friend of mine who works downstairs at the library (where I go online), and we were talking about karaoke - well actually ;)I brought it up, ha ha. Anyway, when I mentioned I just did not have the courage to go by myself and stick out like a sore thumb sitting by myself, she agreed to come with me ;D (she's off work the next day). She gets sick a lot so it might not happen (she has diabetes), but we've made a date for NEXT Thursday at a local bar. She has a blackberry also, and we also discussed the possibility of her videotaping me playing guitar and singing. She just has to figure it out for herself on her blackberry and try making some videos on her own first, then she'll let me know. But for sure, unless she's sick, or there's some other reason we can't go, we're planning to go to Karaoke!!! I'm looking forward to it! For me I feel ::)better if I have a friend to go with. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

So right back at you. You shouldn't worry either, right?!

I love to sing, but I can only do so when I'm on my own. I have been known to join in a bit of karaoke when I've got a bit drunk though, but sober? No way.
My boyfriend is the one person I am most comfortable with and can be myself around and I still can't sing infront of him. I can sing when I'm in the shower, and he will hear me from the bedroom, and I know he can hear me and I don't mind that, for some reason. But if we're in the same room, I just can't! Strange. x)

i can relate...reminds me of when i was a teenager at about 17...i would practice singing and playing guitar in my room, which was in the middle of the other rooms, and it was just myself and my parents, and i knew they could hear me; but yet, i was too shy back then to sing even in front of my parents, and if i did sing, it was `solo`` -- so low nobody could hear me ( ::)groan! - haha!) lol!. my voice is much much louder ;D now (but i still have shyness problems though in other areas, :(unfortunately)
