...."Who Can It Be Now" by Men at Work
definitely describes my particular brand of "shyness" - social anxiety disorder/sociophobia, etc. I don't like anyone knocking at my door unless I know beforehand that they're coming, etc. And I don't like when they knock and they don't say anything, I know they're waiting for me to answer; when but I don't know who it is, I get scared that it'll be somebody I don't want to see or somebody in authority, etc. I hardly ever have visitors anyway, but the rare time it happens, that song is how I feel.

Closest thing I can think of is "Everyday is Exactly the Same" by Nine Inch Nails, even though its more of a work theme.

That would freak me out too. This is why it's always handy to have dogs, they can hear people coming up before a person can and warn you of intruders. The song that best describes my shyness is "Stephanie Says" by The Velvet Underground. It's about failing to connect with people, being socially isolated, and losing touch with reality.

A german song called "Ich bin die Sehnsuch in Dir (I am the longing in you)" from Die Toten Hosen
The english lyrics:
We’ve know each other all our lives I hugged you when we were children I have counted the years with you I have played with your dreams.
I have found your paths for you I am your happiness and I am your curse I nearly drove you out of your mind You believed in me anyway.
I am the longing in you I am the longing in you I am the longing
Whenever I was with you You did everything only for me I have led you astray My promises were empty far too often.
You cried in anger because of me You are your own enemy because of me It’s my fault, you’re not to blame I am hope, and you die with me.
I am the longing in you I am the longing in you I am the longing longing longing
I am the longing in you I am the longing in you I am the longing in you I am the longing in you (and you die with me) I am the longing in you (and you die with me) I am the longing in you
I have spun the world around me Stolen your time, been your thief of time Was your alibi, often enough Whatever happens, I’ll never leave you.
