So am I, she's much better looking than Amy Pond and lets hope she is a better actress too.
One thing I wonder is how will they explain bringing her into the series, considering she is meant to be a dalek.

^ Oh, you Irish really don't like the Scots, do you? Karen Gillan is gorgeous and a brilliant actress. Okay, this season she's been a bit wooden, but in 'Angels Take Manhattan' her performance was stunning. The final scene was probably her best and topped off one of the all-time great episodes. Shame the season hasn't been that great. Jenna-Louise Coleman does look like she's gonna be good. I think she's equally as good looking as Karen, though. I think she might be an ancestor of the Dalek girl, like Gwyneth in the first series who was the ancestor of Gwen in Torchwood (same actress, too), or if being a Dalek is how she ends up at the end of her time with the Doc. Like the first episode with River had her sacrificing herself and dying. But for us, it was only the beginning. Or I could be talking claptrap.

Admittedly, there were times when I liked Arthur Darvill (Rory) better, but overall I thought Karen Gillian was lovely. That being said, I am also excited about Jenna-Louise Coleman. ;D I think she might be an ancestor of the Dalek girl, like Gwyneth in the first series who was the ancestor of Gwen in Torchwood (same actress, too), or if being a Dalek is how she ends up at the end of her time with the Doc. Those are both good ideas, I was thinking we might have been seeing the end of her story with the doctor as well.

That idea seems crazy enough for doctor who for it just about work. I thought Karen Gillian did a fine job as the companion. I meant to be put a winky emoticon after that post, ura, to indicate a terrible joke. I'll edit it after I post this I'll miss Rory, too. I'm just a little pissed he didn't get a final line, just a look of shock. He's certainly grown as a character and Arthur Darvill has only got better and better. Big shoes to fill indeed.

Rory has gotten much better as an actor, it might be good too if they removed River Song too.

What's wrong with River? She's awesome. A little nuts, but well acted and well written. I love her about as much as I love Scotland

it might be good too if they removed River Song too. Surely that was a joke? At any rate, River Song is awesome! ;D She's one of my favorite characters. I hope she keeps making appearances for a long while.

Maybe it's because I have a grudge against her ever since they went back in time to Hitler and most of the episode centered around her....sweetie.
Spork: I genuinely like Scotland, Edinburgh is a lovely city.

I guess I don't mind if a show takes one episode (or even multiple episodes) to flesh out a specific character's story. But to each their own..... sweetie.

ura: I never said you didn't love Scotland, I was playing on a general Irish stereotype and put the wink to indicate a sort of 'although I know that's not why you didn't like Karen very much, it was a terrible joke'. I then said 'I love her about as much as I love Scotland' as a response to you taking the last word in the name of Scotland. This was an attempt to paper over a terrible joke with a joke that turned out to be just as terrible. I'm running out of paper. Sorry... sweetie. Incidentally, to everyone else, here's a link to a website with an 11-minute behind the scenes of Angels (it's the first video). Rather like it, I must say: blogtorwho.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/the-bbc-and-bbc-america-have-released.html

Doctor who is back! I loved "Bells of St. John", quite possibly my fave episode of the season so far.

I've seen some of the Dr. Who episodes but I could never really get into the series that much like so many other sci fi shows.
