Does anyone thing asking a question in an email can be too many questions.Cos i got emailing a girl and the third email she didnt respond to.Basically i asked her two questions about herself like where does she work and is she at work all week.

I know you were just trying to have conversation but I think it would be odd if a stranger online asked me where I worked. If you read the profile, and ask questions about the interests they listed, you should be safe there. Like she says she likes harry potter books you can ask which book she liked the best and why. and that is an open ended question to where she will talk about heself. good luck with the dating

I've only once briefly used a dating site but am considering using one again seeing as it seems its how most people meet nowadays. I would agree with missklew and adsourus and say that the best thing to do is start conversation on what the girl is interested in as it leads on to her saying more about herself. I do know how it feels though to not get responses from people, as if you've said something wrong in a message or on you're profile, but i suppose you also have to consider that anything could be happening at they're end, like they don't go on very regularly, or they are already talking to lots of other people.

don't be too hard on yourself.
It is difficult to meet a nice woman using a dating site. You are going up against thousands of other men. The odds are not in your favour.

I've been on dating websites off and on and at first I had no luck getting dates but lately it has gotten alot better. I have met some girls on there that I consider for the most part all very nice and successful and by the way they were all very good looking. Two of the girls I met online i thought would turn into something but never transpired after two or three dates and talking everyday. The one thing I learned is writing a good profile that shows interest and when you email them don't just say hey baby but ask question about what they do or like to do.

I did some experiments using different photographs and profiles. I came to the conclusion that the photo and salary are the most important things.

That's kind of sad, I guess money really can buy pretty much everything...

that's interesting !
I put the same thing (money and looks) on this other forum and got banned ! They said I was wrong, insulted me and then banned me when I said I had the statistical evidence. I could back it up but they wouldn't have it. Talk about being blinkered !

a one for lonely people.
It wasn't very good to be honest. Most of the threads got closed, warnings were given everyday. People got banned. I wrote a joke and said 'most of the stuff on here is crap but it makes me laugh' and they banned me forever for that. Said I was disrespectfull to the other members. All I was doing was having a laugh with them. I re joined under a name and gave my opinions about dating sites (eg looks and wealth help alot) and they banned me again.

I was wondering cos i think ive been doing things wrong. Can someone give me an example of what to write in an approach to a woman i like. As i think ive been doing it wrong cos not getting many comeback. I mean should i try and flatter them? It may not be your approach in posting a message. When you message someone on a dating site, the first thing they will do is go check out your profile... and if they like it, they will probably message you back... if for whatever reason your profile does not grab them, you will probably not hear from them. I would look over your profile, ask others to look at it objectively and ask for input. PoF does peer reviews for dating profiles.
