Mostly money and chocolate from the parents. My brother and his wife got me the game Funny or Die. One of my friends got me a bunch of Doc who stuff which included a Donna Noble t-shirt and the Doctors Revisited dvd for the 5th to the 8th Doctors. money, the gift that keeps on giving.

Cash from parents. Gift certificate to an over-priced restaurant that I have no one to go with. I hope it does take-out. cash is a very underrated choice.

Some books, lots of chocolate, which I ate whilst watching Doctor Who. Nothing like tears and chocolate. Erm, ooh, and the 16th season of The Simpsons on DVD, which just came out over here. Some genuine World War I & II medals, European and American. Very interesting. Two calendars, too. And an aerial set plan of the first ever Doctor Who set. I got my television a week before, but it was an early Christmas present. Had a nice Christmas. wait...dr. who made you cry??

It was Matt Smith's final episode. Since the show came back, they've always made the regenerations particularly emotional. Matt's eulogy was a thing of beauty and a thing of sadness. Even if you're not a fan of the show, his final words are able hold a resonance with anyone. Sadly, Aunty Beeb won't allow the scene to be put online, but if you get a chance to watch it, it's really moving. Matt's eulogy was a thing of beauty and a thing of sadness. Even if you're not a fan of the show, his final words are able hold a resonance with anyone. It's many different elements are capable of speaking to the many different elements of our lives. Matt was one of the most popular Doctors, by far outweighed the previous two, and he will be missed.
Sadly, Aunty Beeb won't allow the scene to be put online, but if you get a chance to watch it, it's really moving. The best I can give you is a transcript, but it does lack the tear in Matt's eye. It was as much his speech as anyone's. Of course, if you haven't seen the ep, don't read on.
'It all just disappears, everything you are, gone in a moment, like breath on a mirror. Any moment now, he's a coming. The Doctor. I always will be [The Doctor]. But times change. And so must I. We all change. But when you think about it, we're all different people, all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear. I will always remember when The Doctor was me'.
If that or the bit where he throws his bow tie on the floor, doesn't make you cry, you don't have a heart.
That's how Doctor Who made me cry on Christmas Day.
