How do you spend it?
Once I might have gone to church, but that's long disappeared. Now I keep meaning to visit a car boot sale (flea market) for some cheap old books/cds/etc. Unfortunately not done so yet.

That's the day I do most of my regular household shopping. Then maybe one other chore if I feel up to it. I will usually watch TV and surf the web more than usual. It's fairly boring.
When I was a kid I went to church. I attended a Latin mass at a traditional Catholic church. That's also long gone for me.

D'ya remember any Latin? Got rid of Latin masses long before I was born.
Still go. Not in Latin. 10am mass at the local Roman Catholic cathedral. Had the whole works. Baptism, holy communion, confession, confirmation, which was cool, I got another name. Sad my confirmation sponsor died a few years ago.
Hmm. Tad fed up of people saying how unusual it is of someone my age going, but that's another story.
Yeah, been going to this church for about ten years, with mum and dad, and after every mass, we get home and have some bacon sandwiches or sausage, but usually bacon. And a good old Yorkshire cuppa.
I usually have mine whilst watching the football highlights programme I recorded the night before.
I'll then listen to the Sunday match on the radio whilst writing blog posts, which takes a good few hours each day, and then have dinner, listen to another match whilst having a rest. If the racing is on, I'll watch that instead of listening to the matches.
Then I'll take a few hours of catching up on my recordings before its blog time again. That's another hour gone. And then more telly and the Sunday football highlights show.
Do this every Sunday, in that order. Strict schedule. Have done for over ten years.
Even when mother and father are on holiday, like they will be on next Sunday, I think. I walk over to church then and that's really bizarre the looks I get, but people my age just don't go by themselves, or at all. Oh, and I still have bacon afterwards.
Just a bit more.
Mmm, bacon...

I work on Sundays, 6am till 3pm. That's when we sort through and organise the new shipment. Afterwards I'm usually just lazy and watch netflix or browse around online.

D'ya remember any Latin? Got rid of Latin masses long before I was born. I can only recall "Dominus vobiscum, et cum spiritu tuo" but I don't remember what it means. Yes, this was 1950s style Catholicism, so I'm told. Not your mainstream church. Had 'the works', too. Also went to traditional Catholic camp one summer. They gave out recognition awards at the end of camp and I got "Most Improved." I still don't know what that means.

Oh man, we never had camps. No, we just go to Rome occasionally on pilgrimage and stay in a swanky hotel run by nuns.
But yeah, that camp sounds fun, too. Most improved Catholic, eh? Well done you.
Probably means they thought you were a sinner when you started and ended a little angel.
Are you sure you didn't tell them in your induction that you were a keen 'singer' and they misheard you?

It confused me. It's like a back-handed compliment. Was I doing poorly before? I didn't realize I was being judged! In all seriousness, being shy I guess they meant I became less timid over the course of the week. Although I didn't notice one way or another.
Trips to Rome in swanky hotels? Very impressive. That does sound quite different than the cabin and farmhouse in Minnesota I stayed at.

Well, there's a New Rome in Minnesota.
It's just a case of closing your eyes and imagining you're in Old Rome.
Probably.

Then onto the computer to unwind till bedtime, maybe a bit of tv and reading in bed.

I usually go grocery shopping early in the morning. When I get home I usually cook something to eat during the day. Wash some laundry, then I might do some other chores if I feel like it. (I usually dont ). Then I play video games on my computer, watch netflix, play with the cat, read, surf the net, take a nap. basically whatever until the afternoon. Then I get on skype and talk to a friend and we usually watch youtube and netflix together and generally hang out till its time to sleep. I would love my Sundays more if it didn't have that specter of Monday looming over it all day.

Right now in my environment, nothing is much different on Sundays as any other day. Occasionally, if I find the energy, I'll go for a nice long walk. Sometimes I'll walk to a store that has a variety of products (food, clothes, electronics, housewares) and just browse around for awhile. Unfortunately, even browsing around tires me out so the tiredness usually wins, and I end up having to leave and walk home again. (Related to this, I hate shopping for clothes, because I have to try them on, and THAT tires me out...so I end up wasting energy and tiring myself out just trying on several clothing items to see if a garment fits. I usually end up buying nothing because I'm too fatigued to try on anything after about 4 or 5 attempts:(. This is the biggest reason why I have the same clothes year after year - it's a good thing some of them "wear well" or at least not too close to "threadbare"). If I didn't feel so stressed out here with the lady above me, Sundays is probably the day I would really work on my music, esp rock, and try to put some more songs I've written to music and record them onto the smartphone and transfer them to the laptop. (Right now lol I have "The Price is Right - yeah I know "lame" on in the bedroom here, not too loud: she must be in the livingroom watching tv because so far I don't hear her footsteps (whew what a relief!). To the ones talking about the Catholic mass - I never got to a latin mass. My mum used to sing something with "credo in pneuman deo" or something like that. Scuse my bad spelling of it - I'm just going by what I heard her say (years ago). Does anyone know what that means. Just curious. I don't go to Church - Catholic or other church at this time, as I said, I think in other posts under this particular screename of mine. (scuse this part of course it's off topic lol: I wish I had a soundproof place so I could practice my music and really rock it out. Plus if I get really exasperated, I could raise my voice temporarily and "let it all out" for about 5 minutes or so lool)

I tried googling different variations of the spelling. It's likely "credo in unum Deum" which means "I believe in one God."

Pretty addicted rock climber so depending on weather etc... I'm probably sitting at a crag somewhere.
Failing that Sunday is the day I feel OK about sitting around doing nothing. It's my chill out in front of the TV day. Pizza is an acceptable breakfast and if I'm feeling super productive I might change out of my PJ's.
Mmmm Sundays.
