Anybody here the older sibling of Irish twins. It's my theory that the older sibling is more likely to be shy, and have self esteem issues.
Let me know if you are or not, and it would be good way to find out if my theory holds any water.
Just in case you're not familiar, Irish Twins: Children, born in succession close to each other, officially within 12 months. But I'm interested in knowing whether you're within two years of your immediate sibling.

I am the older sibling of just under two years, and of course the shy one. My younger brother is very social and has no trouble talking to people.

My case too. I'm thirteen months older. My younger brother is a rockstar. We're very close.

My two oldest siblings (sisters) are within a year apart. The 2nd oldest has described herself as shy at times, though, I always remember them both being very social/active. And driven and successful. And smart. And pretty. I'm the middle kid (one of them)...around 6-7 years away from both of my closest in age siblings. I'm definitely the most shy/quiet. And have the most self-esteem issues. I could go on...but I shall refrain. But oh yeah, just to comment...the oldest two...I think there was always a bit of rivalry between them. Even now, it doesn't seem to me that they're very close. They don't seem to keep in touch beyond facebook...and the odd times we are all actually together (which I think is a shame, for any of us to be that way). Actually...I think few of us are "close"-close. I think my youngest sister and I might have the strongest bond. Just because we're awesome (or at least, she is). I'm officially rambling. *another odd comment...there are 6 of us...I think it's every other person that has a similar set of traits (personality-wise, in some way). That's just what I've noticed in my own family anyway.
