I've been shy since kindergarten. Now I almost 50, and I don't know if I can do anything about it.
I think there are two primary reasons why turned shy. And from that I never learn to converse, so even if I wasn't shy anymore, I still wouldn't know what to say.
My primary reasons are that I'm transgender, and felt so isolated from the world that I withdrew and developed auditory processing disorder, which means sometimes you can't understand what people are saying... it's like being deaf sometime times. My processing disorder is not so bad anymore, and I can usually follow conversations, but it takes a whole lot of effort.
Anyway, I've come here so see if anything would help.
