Hi, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we shared/discussed our good or bad expiriance at school for anyone who goes to or has gone to school.
I'll start:
When I was in year 7 (grade 7), despite being very shy, I went to drama club, and a few weeks before Christmas we did a small audition for a performance (more about that later), and my group's wasn't great, However a few days later I was asked to fill in for someone in the chosen group who had been ill/dropped out. So I got the role of a reporter and we began practice. Now this performance was kind of a big deal for shy little me since it was a performance to the whole school (which had about 1000 students), which of course ment that everyone in the school (including teachers) would see it. This of course made me feel incredibly nervous and a little embarrassed (to emebarassed to tell my family infact). Then it was time for the performance. It started off with a monologue, and after some hesitation I began, the whole of the performance was a bit of blur after that (probably because I was so nervous), but according to my drama teacher I 'stole the show' and even the vicar at the assembly said I'd put lots of passion in to it. Afterwards I spent the next few days getting complements from students and teachers (who seemed quite supprised) which was kind of awkward, but also king of cool. I look back on this now and I'm still surprised today that I managed to temporarily overcome my shyness to do that.
So that's my story feel free to share your own expiriance on the thread :-)
