I definitely know I'll forget some stuff....will add when I think of some more. I randomly love.... *the smell of rain *the smell of freshly cut grass *thunderstorms *the busy crowds at the mall during the holiday season - i love *waking up at 4 in the morning to go stand in the lines for the great deals *recieving a call on my cell - 'cos it makes me feel like I'm important - pathetic, huh? haha. *when some stranger says "hello" or "hi" or greets me on the street - it always makes me feel special *watching reruns of Full House and Saved by the Bell *taking pictures with my Digicam *when someone actually remembers something I've told them (i.e. I've told a bunch of people when my b-day is and only one person remembered...d@mn the others for not remembering the biggest day of my life...I was a little taken back by the fact that she remembered, but very pleased) *seeing stores put up X-mas decorations in early October *recieving free samples of cologne *the warm fuzzy feeling I get after watching a good movie *being around people I like and care about *a warm summer's night *the feeling of accomplishment *Domino's thin crust pizza!!! - the BEST thin crust pizze, ever! *playing board games *nostalgic memories *watching a movie in a crowded theater *little thoughtful, unexpected surprises such as my roommate taking out the garbage w/out me having to tell him to *Conan O'Brien *people who are the opposite of me - outgoing, positive etc. it makes me feel like I want to change who I am *rearranging my pictures in my photoalbums online *reading this board because we all can relate to one another

I must have missed the randomly hate thread. It was pretty interesting reading through some of these. Several mentioned sex which is up there on my list as well. Pansy mentioned the wilderness - I'd really be interested in hearing more about that. (Mainly because it sounds alot like my primary hobby. )
Music's up there on my list as well. Except what I listen to, probably nobody in here would recognize unless you grew up in the 70's (early 80's) like I did.
I just read one of the singers in my favorite band (BOC) turned 58 last week. Another 'omen' about how nothing lasts forever and thats sort of been my wake up call the last year or so.
Its kind of hard to explain - maybe some of you might relate though.
Not that 39 or 40 is an old man, but honestly I don't feel any different than I did at 21. That doesn't include my maturity level because I realize I'm alot different now than I was then. But, I guess it doesn't seem as though that much time has gone by until you do the math and add up the years.
I've been having a pretty good life so maybe thats why it seems to be going by awful fast. My son tells me the lines in my eyes are 'happy lines' - so if thats a sign of something good, I'll take it.
Another wake up call: Wilderness topic again - I was talking to an old friend about some escapade I had in the state lands. Since the years blend, I told him it was a couple years ago that the thing happened. However, a little while later a light bulb came on and I remembered the event took place when my wife was pregnant with our only child. (He's 11 this past November) So, I realized that I wasn't talking about a year or two.
Where did the time go?

I love walking through cemeteries. Most people are creeped out by them or indifferent.
The house I grew up in was across the street from a large cemetery, which is why I'm so interested in them. I mention this because I spent a couple of hours walking through there yesterday.

I think a surprising amount of people like cemetaries, I know I quite enjoy walking through them also, but Im not sure why.

There is one by my house and I go there from time to time to photograph there. The fall is the best time to go, there are large weeping willow trees around a lagoon, the sunlight hits the masoleums to make amazing shadows, stepping on the dried leaves on the ground and the smell of them also, a sort of decaying rotten smell that adds to the experience of being there. I took a lot of photos there last year, I just never found the time yet to scan them and burn them on a cd, but when I finally do I will post them.

I took a stroll through a cemetery near me recently (not the one I previously mentioned) and took this picture, among others. The mausoleum is supposedly haunted by the ghosts of dogs who were entombed alive with their owners. Creepy!

Old black and white movies. The world seems so simple in them. Maybe its color that is causing the world so much suffering and pain.

Sour Electroshocks - man they taste goooooood!! Georgie Best - RIP My cat, even if she is loopy. My nephews, including the youngest who is going through a phase of pulling wacky faces which crack me up. Ed - I don't know why, but I'm addicted to this show. Being inside when there's a thunderstorm outside. Just gives me a buzz for some absurd reason The build up to Christmas, even though I'm poor and can't afford any presents. Christmas songs that are cheesier than cheese on toast, topped with 'Mr Cheesy's Squeezy Cheese'. Walking early in the morning after it has snowed. Making the first footprints in a blanket of snow. The sound of walking in snow. Oooh, crunchy. ;D Snow. (Enough with the white stuff already). Drifting to sleep with my MP3 player on. Watching Hitchcock movies in the middle of the night. (Rear Window on at half 2 in the morning, ace!) Best of all, the sound of my youngest nephew giggling. (He's just under a year old). I may be soft, but nothing can beat how that makes me feel. Dizzy. Very strange
