LOL! You can also notice a lot of people don't write many postings on these boards as well. Here's a weird though, there's a lot of "traffic"--a lot of people and a lot of postings--on the Social Anxiety Support boards. I like it here better because people are nicer and there's not so much "traffic."

It seems like they've had it for a while. They keep talking always having updates and the "old board(s)," I dunno. The "first step" forum always have a lot of people coming in and saying hi (it's a board where you come in as a new member and say hi and introduce yourself).

This would be a great opportunity to welcome all of our new members, so that's what I'll do: welcome to SHY United! Sorry that you probably haven't heard that much from me over the last week or so. For all you new members, my older brother has Huntington's Disease and is very ill in hospital at the moment. It's a long story but basically he went into respite for 8 weeks and came out 3 stones lighter, with thrush in his mouth, black eyes and terrible friction burns on the front and backs of his legs. He also came home with MRSA, which is a pretty tough biological infection. His immune system was so low when he came home that he was taken immediately into hospital. He almost died five weeks ago, but he didn't. What all this means is that I've been rushing back and forth to the hospital most days. By the time I get home I've been too exhausted to post.
Using Forums and a chatroom on a site for shy people is always going to cause a few headaches. We had timetabled chats in our chat room a few months ago but there were 2 major problems that were difficult to overcome: the time differences and the problem of people being too shy to visit. Our chatroom is always open so if anybody wants to timetable chats again please do so.
The ratio between how many people read each post in our Forums compared to how many actually post is interesting. A lot more people read the posts than actually posting themselve. This makes the posters posts even more vital because people do get so much from them.
