i just checked a voice mail message. it had been on my phone for a few days and i finally got around to checking it. it was a wrong number...an automated message from a pharmacy notifying someone that their prescription was ready. afterwards it occurred to me that this is the first voice mail left for me in quite awhile. then it occurred to me that probably nothing about any of this is normal. if anyone else ever has random thoughts please post them here.

In the five and a half years I had my old car, the air conditioner never worked. Yesterday, the air conditioner on my new car went out. It's no real big deal, I guess, since I'm used to just rolling the windows down on hot days.

One time a couple of years ago I got the best wrong-number voicemail ever! I can't remember exactly what it said, but it was like this one dude calling this other dude, wanting to know, "can we really fuck?" like he was surprised about it, and then promising to get the condoms if it was possible. ;D It was so strange, I saved it on my phone for a few months and would listen to it now and again when I wanted a giggle.

Speaking of random phone calls, someone from the Phillipines kept calling me and I would try to tell them they had the wrong number, but since they didn't speak English, they couldn't understand me. They kept calling back for several days until I think they got the idea.

Not to prattle on with the voicemail stories, but the only few ones I used to get were from old mates, very drunk, singing to me from different university student unions around the country ;D Yes, 'Livin' On a Prayer' sung out of tune at 3am in the morning can make you chuckle, but it doesn't help you get back to sleep Made me feel rather absurdly special in a way for a while, until I realised they probably left a message on every single number in their phone too And you just randomly reminded me of that, so thankyou. Good, if decidedly weird memories!

Wow...I bet that guy went to that other guy's house with the condoms and everything...or thought that he didnt really want to fcuk since he never called him back

I'm thrilled that a simple change of ethernet cable has fixed my internet problems.

Here's my random thought... if we have cars named after animals and minerals, why hasn't anyone named a car after a plant?

Here's my random thought... if we have cars named after animals and minerals, why hasn't anyone named a car after a plant? The "Coconut" or the "Dandelion" doesn't sound very fast, rugged, or sexy, does it?

Here's my random thought... if we have cars named after animals and minerals, why hasn't anyone named a car after a plant? There are a few (googled it out of boredome): the Cherry, the Pistachio, the Aspen (tree or ski town?), the Cayenne... But more interesting, to me anyway, would be names based on truth in advertising. How about the Pontiac Microphalus, or the Dodge Gridlock, the Toyota Fatass, the Nissan Roadrager or the Ford Worldender....
