I went to an all boys school. Being quiet, that meant that I didn't talk to a girl was until I went to University. My question is this: how many of you out there went to an all boys / all girls schools? How many of you went to mixed schols? Did this affect you when it came to dealing romantically with boys / girsl?

i went to a mixed school. i don't know if that made anything easier, except that since it was a public school, it was easy to blend into the background. i did go to an all-girls college for a year, and hated it. i felt more excluded than i had anywhere else because all the others got along together and seemed to know each other very well, but i was living off campus. i don't know that it had anything to do with gender.

When I didn't it seemed like I was usually being made fun of. At least outside of my friends. College was good. Pretty much only my friends made fun of me then. Very little success with women, though. It was a mixed school.

we had showers at my school, but no one every used them. even if someone was stupid enough to want to, we only had a few minutes to get changed and get to the next class.

i went to an all-boys school, shower time after PE was pretty awesome Awesome? Why? Are you gay? Not that there's anything wrong with it...(to quote Seinfeld) Same situation for me as for moogle. I wonder if it's the South's conservative nature. I'd never realized that maybe the South is even more conservative about showing nudity amongst the same sexes? In the movies, anyway, they are always taking showers after PE. I'm really glad I moved away from the South. I tend to think I'd have been much less shy if I hadn't moved there.

the showers were private. i just don't trust how clean something like that would be in a public school...if people actually used them.

I went to a mixed private school. I've never been to an all girls school so I can't even compare although, I would imagine that an all girl school would be very catty. I've always been uncomfortable around new people (male or female) so I don't know how it has helped my relationships other than the fact I had to deal with boys at a younger age.

i am generally equally uncomfortable around males and females. though, males have some variation because if it's someone i'm attracted to, i blush.. this one time my knee caps started shaking (which only happens when i'm REALLY nervous). i've also found that as i've gotten older (and prettier) guys will often make things easier on me, because they're the ones trying to get my attention.

I know what you mean about shaking knees! I used to get that when I had to go on stage for drama or music. I'm sure everyone could see. Eugh.
I went to an all girls school... it was pretty catty ..and segregated. But then there was a lot of solidarity too. Think it's made me more comfortable around girls.

The last time my knees started to shake was when I was doing my driving praticle test. I couldn't control me legs and the instructor had to pull over for a few minutes. I passed anyway!
