I've going through a bit of a tricky spell. I seperated from my wife and kids 18 months ago. I'm feel pretty lonely at the minute. I think its this time of year. We were together for a long time and we have some lovely Chritmasses together. I was wondering does anybody else out there have a particular time of the year that thye dread. Or maybe love?

Sorry to hear about your separation, Shane. I hope you can still have a great Christmas with your kids. I do miss that, myself.
I don't get lonely, but I do get tired of being alone, if that makes sense? I would like to have a date or even casual g/f lined up by Christmas, simply because it's a goal I've set myself.

Christmas is usually a lonely time. No family within 500 miles, and family is big for Christmas. Romance seems big for Christmas, too, and I don't know whether I'll even have a date before NEXT Christmas. This Christmas, it's not going to be as bad. School is keeping me busy, so I don't have all that much time to worry. And as far as family, my sister is in jail. So, any thinking about family tends to be concern about her.
I like summer. I like the heat. I like walking around in shorts, t-shirt, sandals, as little clothes as possible.

I do like seeing the women, though. ;D That can get depressing, though. Instead of the occasional woman to drool over, who I am too shy for, there are lots of women to drool over, who I am too shy for. And, I live a couple hundred miles from a beach. I've never been there, because I'd feel geeky going that distance by myself, just to sit in the sand for a day or two. So, seeing women dressed REALLY nicely is even rarer. And, in grad school, it's not like I'm tripping over the stacks of money.

The winter, for me at least, is wonderful. I wear sweatshirts all year long (I don't want an ybody to notice me so I cover up) and in the wintertime, I at least have an excuse. lol!
