victor, i see girls do that to alot of guys in my school all the time, even if they are not that shy. trust me ure not the only one. besides at 23 peopel are more mature and won't do that anymore. you should join a club or a gym or just go out and have fun, you'll meet somebody that way. just try to act confident even if you aren't, that gets people's attention.

When I was in high school there was a girl who would make fun of me by pretending she wanted to go out with me then there were the guys who would go up to various girls and ask them if they wanted to go out with me (which would usually result in them saying something like "ewwwww.") Yeah, there was one guy who asked every girl in the eighth grade if they would go out with me, for the same reason. I don't know if the women reacted that badly to me.

Say, you guys are nice. Maybe I should register?
I'm actually 22, but I'm 23 on the 30th (just like Mike Tyson!).
I don't go out so much nowdays as I'm now social phobic. I definately need to gain some confidence to battle my phobias, but I'm usually feeling down on myself and often put myself down without realising it. It's just become automatic nowdays. This could be due to the people at my schools (teachers and students) that made my life a living hell along with my father who would also enjoy putting me down and blaming me for pretty much everything that went wrong.
Anyway, I'm going to try to be more positive now.
Oh, and no date at 13 seems normal to me, but I don't really know the teens of today (I didn't even understand them when I was a teen myself).

Dating at 13 is pretty damned weird if you ask me. I wouldn't start worrying at all about your ability to get dates until you haven't had one by, say, 18. I'm almost 23 and have never had a date. I'm worrying.

Blu - I'm glad to hear you have a boyfriend...sort of. Call me old, but 13 is too young for a b/f. That said, different strokes for different folks! The first girl I ever dated first had sex at 13!! (We were 18 when we dated.) She wished she had waited.
Laura - the guys who are making mean comments about you are probably intimidated by you. I know it sounds crazy, but I suspect they find you quite attractive and would like to ask you out, but are afraid you'll cut them down. Shy people often appear aloof and conceited. So know that if you could loosen up a bit and make some friends - show people that you are not aloof - you would probably have guys all over you. ;D

Even if it turns out to be the weirdest relationship ever, at least years from now you won't be able to say "I'm 25 and have never had a boyfriend".

I don't get the joke... Anyway, Bluheart, I'm pleased for you that you managed to get a boyfriend, although you do seem a little young to me as well. Anyway, I'm 17 and I've never had a boyfriend or anything like that.
