I haven't been in a relationship in over a year but still feel terribly depressed somedays thinking of the wonderful/intimate moments that I once had with my ex-girlfriend. Sometimes I get so nostalgic for the way it used to be that I can't function. Has anyone else found it impossible to get over an ex to the point you can't stop thinking of the way it used to be?

I'm sorry that you feel depressed. I think it might help a bit if you take up any hobbies you like to keep yourself busy. Or better yet, don't revisit places where the two of you frequently hanged out. I've been there myself last year when I broke up with the ex. I felt my whole world was torn apart and almost every morning I woke up, I felt very crappy. I started to believe that no other guy can make me feel as good as he did. It took months for me to get over him. Now I feel A LOT better not having him on my mind constantly and can see myself dating other guys now. Hopefully as time goes by, you will feel much better and happier and know that you can move on and find love again.
