all american heterosexuality. so being gay would be unamerican. there are alot of Log Cabin rebulicans that are gay americans.
before I get flack Im not saying being liberal makes you unamerican either. Being liberal makes you alot of things and Liberals have a pro europe ideal. does that make them unamerican perhaps.
why do you say that heterosexaulity is a American characteristic?

Girls have approached me recently. Once in the grocery store and then once in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Incidently, they have some very nice bath towels in there and I bought several. They are really soft and fluffy. I think I'm going back to get some 600 thread count sheets. Maybe they even have 1000 thread count somewhere in there. Hey! Great Idea!!!There happens to be a Bed Bath and Beyond near my house!! Maybe i should shop there and meet the cute girls!!! From what you say, the towels sound nice. I like fluffyness and softness in towels. Hmmm, i'm not sure i'd be okay shopping at Victoria's Secret though. I don't think i'd make the right impression there.

why do you say that heterosexaulity is a American characteristic? It's not that it's an American characterstic. It's that our country seems to be very biased against gays. Now, i'm not condoning their lifestyle, but i do get along with gays generally. As long as they remain true to their gaydar and leave me alone, then everything's fine.

nice girls are everywhere, use some common sense and you should have no problem.. We have to ask to know if they are nice girl.

Not necessarily for love but friendship. Internet, real life, whereever, i don't care. There are nice girls literally everywhere. Instead of looking for them in bars or at parties, look for them in libraries, bookstores, museums, music stores, etc. Try to take your focus off the flashy one's who are knocking themselves out to get your attention (and everyone else's) and notice the quieter ones in the background more. What sucks about that is that things like parties are incredibly conducive to meeting people and being approached by people left and right, where as meeting someone at a library or bookstore is almost impossible for a shy person.

One year on and I am not much better off. Isn't there anything different about your life? Overall, my life and my mind are in a better position. I am slowly getting better socially, still very shy though. I actually feel passionate about study, so my grades are going up. Still very lost when it comes to girls.

I agree, a lot of the extremely outgoing guys seem to be just as bad off as us and probably want to be introverted as bad as we want to be extraverted.

Why not? Just take the friends approach. Green tee after karate maybe suggest a good sushi joint. I know it's not easy, but it doesn't hurt to try. The more you do it, the easier it gets.
