There are nice guys/girls at school, work, where ever. However, in order to get to know these nice people you have to actually talk to them. Which many of us are unable to do. ~I.A.  lol. That's a good point. |

I'd say online but of course ya gotta be careful. There are plenty of flakey female weirdos out there too. computer science departments worst place; a bar or nightclub Hey I goto the bar alot and I am nice,,,lol. But I agree not the best place, but ya never know. |

Hey, the odds may be closer to 1 in 100 guys that there will be a nice guy that will like you, Sigh, or any other girl for that matter. But that guy will be there, looking at you. You just have to notice them.  |

I've been hanging out at a coffeeshop lately. I've made a few friends there. No dates yet. The coffeeshop matters. Coffeeshops like Starbucks don't seem to have people that "hang out". The individually owned places seem to be more likely to.
Most of my successes lately with women(the logic works for meeting men, too) have been at a interest group(poetry) that goes to a bar afterward. This seems to be good, because most of the people have at least one common interest. And, the bar is an atmosphere that encourages being social in the group. Also, there are lots of people who just go to the bar. I tend to, now that I'm working on my thesis, and the poetry hasn't been as impressive.
Also significant with some interest groups are a mindset one can relate to. I particularly like talking to intellectual people(people who enjoy thinking)--who are more frequent at poetry readings than in regular life.

I'm sorry to say this, but I think that nice guys that won't cheat on you are much rarer than that.. God, I'm never going to get a boyfriend, am I?! Theres very few nice ppl in the world. The ones that are don't have any certain place they go to more frequently then other places. So just meet guys whereever, you don't have much of a chance of finding a nice one anyway so you mine as well not go out of your way. I will say though that the internet is the worst place to meet anyone though, so being shy we're kinda screwed.

I disagree, I think there are plenty of nice people out there male or female. At least most of the people I have met have been nice I guess....well ok alot of turds too but mostly I would say they are nice. Maybe I've been fortunate.
P.s. I'm differentiating between nice and people I want to be friends with.
