I don't. That's why i don't bother. I can barely take care of myself let alone a girlfriend. Now if a girl ever comes along that doesnt care that im not rich that will be great. I'm not holding my breath though.

I'm not holding my breath though. we exist, i promise you. you can make a cup of tea last long enough for a very long-lasting conversation. and driving somewhere nearby for a nice long walk on a trail or something is cheap. there's lots of things that aren't expensive. and there's always scrabble!

You don't have to buy her anything extraordinary or go to an expansive place. The important thing on a date is if the two of you harmonise together and there's no need to go to an exclusive restaurant to do so. It can be as simple as a walk in the park, sitting on a bench or inviting her to you for a cup of coffee^^.
And if you absolutely can't afford anything ring your parents and make that very difficult chat.
