I don't. That's why i don't bother.
I can barely take care of myself let alone a girlfriend.
Now if a girl ever comes along that doesnt care that im not rich that will be great.
I'm not holding my breath though.

I'm not holding my breath though. we exist, i promise you.  you can make a cup of tea last long enough for a very long-lasting conversation. and driving somewhere nearby for a nice long walk on a trail or something is cheap. there's lots of things that aren't expensive. and there's always scrabble!  |

You don't have to buy her anything extraordinary or go to an expansive place. The important thing on a date is if the two of you harmonise together and there's no need to go to an exclusive restaurant to do so. It can be as simple as a walk in the park, sitting on a bench or inviting her to you for a cup of coffee^^.
And if you absolutely can't afford anything ring your parents and make that very difficult chat.
