I'm talking about the one listed on the homepage.

Is anyone else on there? I want to know it it is worthwhile or not, or if I at least won't be the only person on there. I'm debating whether to register on there soon or later. At this point I'm not sure how confident I am without a job.

You can't browse through the profiles, so i'm not sure how many people are signed up. I don't want to be the only member.

I'd be interested to know if anyone here is signed up though.

I was on it for a few days, but then I bolted. I always mess around with making datesite profiles, but I never get anywhere with them. I feel like most people who go on them are really together. Maybe I'll give it another try now that I destroyed my okcupid account.

No, not yet. I forgot about it for a while, and at the moment I'm pretty busy with work, so a lot of my time is spent either at work, sleeping, or trying to sleep. I mean things are going a lot better than that sounds, but my schedule is kind of odd right now, although it beats the hell out of a few months ago when there was no schedule and I was bored out of my mind.

Really for a while I decided not to try, because I was out of work and I figured girls like it when a guy is at least up to something in his life. Maybe I'll look into it again in a bit. I wonder if there would even be people in my area on it.

Oh man... here's to hoping that a shy personals site gets some critical mass going -- t'would probably be helpful for quite a few folks out there. *crosses fingers*

I heard somewhere that the "ratio" of women-to-men is generally greater on specific dating sites like that, whereas on more anonymous joints like Craigslists it's more sausage-fest than anything. I just can't remember if this was based on actual statistical facts or if it's just another urban legend... hmm

It's true that there are more women than men in the world. But those are mostly older women. Women still have longer life expectancies than men, for a variety of reasons.

Most of the older women are widows, i'd think. But hey, that's why grandchildren were invented.
