Hello, my son is 17 years old and very very shy. His best friend moved out of state a few months ago and now he's keeping bad company. The guys he's running around with are no hopers who vandalise and terrrorise the neighbourhood. My son has changed and I don't like it. I thought I would put this post on to see if anybody else has had similar emperiences or weather you have any advice.

It sounds as if your son is definetly missing his best friend. His new friends aare bad news and will definietly get him into trouble. I don't know how much you communicate with you son ( being a teenage boy). If you come on strong anf lay down the law that he must stay away from those bad eggs I'm sure he'll do the exact opposite. Hopefully it's just a phase and he'll settle down and come to his senses and make a new best friend or two.

You could try getting the police involved just to scare him or prove to him that the people he's hanging round with aren't going to get very far in life by taking him to meet some ex offenders who regret what they did or something. Sorry its all I can think of, well other than disciplining him.
