This year in school a couple of girls started wearing mini skirts to school everyday. A couple months later this thrend has caught on to almost all the girls in the school. the guys love of it. Lately my friends started wearing short skirts too. Basically me and best friend Heather were the only ones not wearing skirts. the other the girls are like "why don't you wear skirts too"? "whats wrong with your legs "you must be gay or something" etc. Now Heather has started wearing mini skirts too. after School today I went to the mall and got some skirts and now I am wearing one, god its short and don't think i can even come out my room wearing them i start to get really nervous sweaty and goosepimples why i'm so modest

Who cares? Submit your pic to Silent Shadows now and let us be the judge of how 'modest' you are.

I recommend you develop your own sense of style and don't worry about what the other girls at school are wearing. You should feel comfortable in your clothes. The reality is that a girl wearing a mini skirt is seen as wanting a certain type of attention from males (any males). If you don't feel that way, it's not a good idea to wear them.

I think I look rather intelligent. Ugly, but intelligent.
And it's 'probably'. With an 'a'.

Usually the ones who talk to a girl just because she shows some thigh are the pigs who wouldn't otherwise talk to her if she wasn't in the first place. When a girl shows skin, the first thing that pops into my mind is, "cool the job is half-way done!" lol.. although I never even tried to do it but I am sure that's what the guys who do are thinking.

This year in school a couple of girls started wearing mini skirts to school everyday....i start to get really nervous sweaty and goosepimples why i'm so modest You know people used to tell me that this kind of peer pressure subsides after high school and then you can be more of an individual. But don't believe that. The pressure to conform is relentless well into adulthood. It never becomes easy to stand out from a crowd. Too bad Heather caved in. You might as well get used to it.

If you don't feel that way, it's not a good idea to wear them. I totally agree with you! Be your own individual and wear something that you feel good and comfortable in. I wear mini's when I go out (sometimes, when it's too cold forget it) and boys/men do seem to look differently at me. Sometimes that type of attention can be nice, a bit flattering, and then there are times when you are just disgusted by the way they look at you Im still looking for courage to just wear those type of skirts on a regular day . I have found great knee high boots so that Im not really that nekkid If you do insist on wearing them, maybe you can put on high boots that way it doesn't seem so short, and you're showing less skin.

Ya I know what you mean, you have a choice to fit in or not to fit in , I guess you should start wearing mini skirts too aleast that way you'll fit in and all the popular girls are wearing them too so you shouldn't feel to shy. You might even start to enjoy wearing skirts they are very comfy and guys love to look at are legs that probally why the girls wear short skirts, hope that helps
