Boy I'll say one thing about the people on Shy united: I've never encountered any group so entirely immune to satire in my life.
It doesn't matter what she was doing or why. The blog is fiction. Some guy made it up. Its a character. He's making fun of the character writing the blog. What's interesting about it, is the author of the fiction seems to have a good understanting of the types of people I see on this website, SHY United. That's why I posted it. It actually has some use. Somtimes when we see ourselves reflected in art, we can see ourselves more clearly. But then again, some people are almost entirely self absorbed.

Gee Whiz, though, that guy may be onto something. Hot women should be able to see through a guy's bespectacled blandness and aggressive apathy to see the seething animal within. What's with these women, anyway?

The problem is, it's not very good satire to begin with.

this website has always been billed (in the past) as a positive place for shy people to come for support. so maybe people aren't approaching the place with their satire detectors on full volume. just a thought. Yes but this is a separate website that I linked to. Anyway, I thought the fact that the author's picture was a cartoon cat would give it away. My bad I guess. This guy's sense of humor is surely not for everyone. If its not good or funny for any of you, I advise you to not look at it. As for me, I read his web comic and the related blogs and find the characters depicted there to be very familiar. I have seen myself in them - not in a flattering way. But I don't need to be flattered constantly unlike some people. Sometimes I need to be shown my flaws. No my dear. One must only type in 500 posts in order to be advanced to God status. Shane Mackay, so far as I know, is an Irishman, which I am not. I'm a different person altogether.

thanks. i realize that plus a buck and a half will buy me a cup of coffee, and not much more. but it still felt kinda good when i opened the letter. I've made the dean's list four times so far: really makes me feel pretty good everytime i do it. "Angels, administers of Christ, defend us!" We have a God-like entity in our midst! All bow to Medici! Hows that for satire?
