Hey guys. This morning i'm baking dozens and dozens of cookies for our club bake sale, and i gotta tell you, it's really making me feel good about myself. Not to mention the delicious smells, but also that i'm doing something worthwile to benefit our group at school, which i always feel awkward in. But i still want to help them out. Maybe this is why bakers are always such nice and happy people. I could really get into this kind of work. The only problem is keeping myself from eating them all, hehehehe.

baking has always helped me relieve stress, and it makes me really happy when the people who do have my cookies think they're really good. though i will admit i end to get frustrated when they don't cook right i just enjoy cooking and learning how to cook, and i hope to get really good with it one day (it sounds corny but i'd love to learn how to make the really fancy flowers seen on cakes in the bakery by hand) hehe. though one time my school made me enter a cooking contest, and i spent at least 4 hours cooking my entry (it was a french dish and everything had to be perfect) but it came out perfectly, i was so proud of it. i got there and put it on the competition table and i got second place! but then i got frustrated when the girl who got first simply went to the food store and got eclairs. grr! but i was too shy to protest. sometimes i wish i didn't keep my mouth shut (blushes)

I LOVE to bake and cook! It does give me a good feeling if I'm baking for someone else if it comes out good. My boyfriend and I are both trying to lose weight now so if I try that I'm going to get an ass-kicking. I can't not bake brownies without eating one or five. It's just impossible.

Hehehehe, not to worry, Kitten. I ate a bunch of my cookies as well. Say, that reminds me. Today at work one of those nice hispanic women in the Electrical dept brought in a couple of pies that she baked for all the employees to eat. I guess she wanted everyone to have a happy Thanksgiving. I swear, if she wasn't already married, i would have kissed her and proposed right there!!!

You could also try making scones. Then, while they're still warm cut them in two and put lots of clotted cream and strawberry jam between the two pieces. So you have the therapeutic baking and a little piece of heaven to go with it. Just be ready to clear up the mess afterwards. ;D

Y'all are making me hungry. ;D
I plan to do lots of cooking and some baking. That is the only bad thing about baking in summer. heats up the kitchen so much.

I just made some peanut butter cookies to take to work tomorrow (the 24th), mostly to say to people, "hey, I baked some cookies for you- I'm not a prick just because I'm quiet!"
I didn't add enough baking soda so they're as thin as saltine crackers, but they taste great. ;D

That facilitates stuffing them in your mouth eight at a time. ;D
