i know this may sound a bit weird but i seem to feel less anxious w/ sunglasses on.. i think it may have to do with the whole looking people in the eye thing,, if they cant see my eyes then they dont know im looking at them.. so i feel less nervous.. sounds weird but it kinda works.. (for me at least) Plus they make you look uber cool..

I have clip on sunglasses that clip on to my normal glasses; they make me look like less of a nerd. I've always thought that mirrored sunglasses looked really cool.

Well I don't think my sunglasses make me look particularly cool, more like a geek in sunglasses . But I know what you mean as I have felt less nervous while wearing them. They're something to hide behind even if it is just your eyes your hiding.

There was a time I wouldn't go outside without sunglasses on to hide behind.

I dunno...sometimes I feel rather self-conscious in sun glasses...thinking that I look stupid in them, but other times I do feel kind of apart from those around, as if the shades are shielding me.. I think overall I prefer not wearing any.

This reminds me of my favorite song.
"Sunglasses After Dark" by the Cramps
I got something to say to you and you better listen I'm going to tell you how to be cool in one easy lesson
Sunglasses after dark oh their so sharp you'll be cool squares'll drool
it's real simple sunglasses after dark ah they're so sharp
listen to this went out last Saturday night got myself in a knife fight everybody got cut, including me well none of those cats could see see we had on S.A.D.
I was hanging round on the street when this great big guy ran right into me I could hardly make him out everything was so dim, but then I seen what was wrong with him he was wearing sunglasses after dark
sunglasses after dark ahh they're so sharp sunglasses after dark oh it's so simple it really is

Yeah, I've got to admit, I tend to feel pretty good while wearing my sunglasses, I barely go out of the house without wearing these: Despite the fact that they don't even hide my eyes... strange, huh?

They're like John Lennon's glasses! ^
I personally worry that i'm being rude by wearing sunglasses when i'm with other people. If it were the other way 'round, i'd like to see the eyes of who i'm talking to ('cause they could be looking at you - or your boobs - the whole time and you're completely unaware).

I wear sunglasses when I'm on the bike or running - reduces eye fatigue and protects my eyes from bugs/other stuff flying around. However, if I talk to someone I take them off, I guess I like them to see me making eye contact (or looking elsewhere )
