I probably have been over medicated. I've been on over 20 prescription meds since Jan. and maybe about 10 over-the-counter ones. (I feel like an old person taking all this stuff) Some of the stuff has been prescribed to me multiple times too. I feel like saying to the doctors: "If it doesn't work the 1st time its not going to work the 3rd time!" Idiots

I hate rude people. Okay, so this dude calls me at work, and he has to file a complaint. I tell him he needs to call Washington DC, because its handled by that office. So the guy starts argueing and cussing at me, and so I hung up on him. Not fun. I some times hate working in customer service

Speaking of customer service, I have a story I would like to share. I bought a tire with guarantee, and it said "if the tire turns out defective, we will replace it with a new one AT ANY OF OUR BRANCH OFFICES." The tire was defective. So I took it to one branch office. I politely asked for the replacement. All this dude said to me was these 4 words; "We don't have it." No explanation, no apology at all. I do, too, Alecto! Anyway, I was so pixxed off that I decided to go to another office to file a complaint. "Is there any way I could talk to the manager here?" "He isn't here now." (Again, how rude is this reply! ) At this point, I was already furious at the tone of his voice, so I just kept staring at him without saying anything back. Then I heard a female voice from behind this rude dude, "Hi, our manager will be back in 30 min. but is there anything I could help you with?" ----- I thought she was an angel. ;D I said, "First, please understand that this is not a complaint to YOU, and also understand that I don't speak English very well so if whatever I am going to say offends you, please forgive me. " She said some joke at this point, but I didn't understand it. But I did know she was ready to hear what I had to say. "I brought this guarantee to another branch, and all they said to me was they didn't have it. I was expecting them to order one from somewhere else or at least call other branches to see if they have one. But they treated me like an unwanted customer and I am very unhappy about it." She said, "Oh that must have been an ordeal... I can pass it on to our manager. And you are still looking for the replacement, right? Let me check our storage. " Later, "Sir, at least one good news for you. We have what you need. I'll have one of the guys to change the tire for you." In the waiting room, I started to write a note of complaint to the manager... but it didn't go as I originally planned. It turned out more like a big praise for that one female clerk who served me, than a complaint as to customer service in general. It was almost like my love letter to her I gave that note to that super nice female clerk and told her to give it to her manager. I also added, "Oh, if you get a raise, you don't have to thank me. ;D" She made my day. One of the very very few nice experiences I've had in stores.

That's good that woman was willing to work with you like that. See at my job, we're like mediators between the company and consumer. But we only handle companies in our area, so if the company is some where else we have to refer the customer to that office. So, I gave the guy the phone number, and he just starts cussing. I guess he wanted to be a jerk.
What also hate is when we do take complaints, we tell the consumer, when we get a response we will MAIL it to them. 5 minutes later, we get a call back "Have you heard from the company yet?"
Okay, I'm done ranting about work ;D

Alecto - an award for the best tag line (or whatever it's called): "You can lead a fool to wisdom, but you cannot make him think." Love it!

Holy cow! You work in customer service, Alecto? You've got guts that has to be a hard job for a shy person to deal with. I know i couldn't do it. Japanese: You really found a winner behind the counter at that tire shop ;D It really makes you wonder how some of these people got there job in such position, if they can't treat customers right. Surely his boss would have freaked out if he/she had witnessed the incident.. he isn't going to sell any tires if the bozo at the counter is pissing off all the customers.

Thanks Hermit, Its not really bad working in customer service on most days.
Of course there are also days when I wish I could electricute people throught the phone lines ;D. Just give them a little zap or something
Its not the best job though, but the benefits and people are nice, so I'm sticking around till something better comes along

Well this weekend I decided to go visit to church and to visit my grandparents. So, on Saturday me and my boyfriend go to church. It had been several months since I had been, partly because of sickness, and the fact that its about 80 miles away. Most of the people were pretty happy to see us. But a few things really bothered me, I had a few people come up and say. "Why don't you sign the guest book?" And I've been going there for the past 12 years!
Anyway, after that I saw my dad, and step mom. Saw their new home, which is small but nice. My stepmom and I seem to be getting along better and at the time being I've decided to drop her nickname for the moment. Hopefully we can work some more stuff out though

Yes, Hermit, I was lucky that day (except that I had to drive almost 50 miles to go to one shop, then another, and go home). You are absolutely right about some people getting wrong positions at work. I wouldn't be able to stop, once I started listing all the unpleasant experiences I have had at shops...
And Alecto, ..... I am with Hermit on this. I am also glad that you and your step mom are getting along better.

I haven't had much bad experience in shops. Except for restuarants, they're just horrible sometimes.
It is nice that me and my stepmom and being "civil" towards each other, after not speaking for about 4 years.

I hate stupid people...
Yesterday I went to have my blood work done. And of course I hate needles so I didn't watch. About an hour afterwards, I got a little bruise on my arm. Well this morning there were 5 bruises on my arm around the area. It looks and feels like I got hit with a baseball bat.
I'm gonna have my boyfriend's mom look at it for me, since she does blood work at a hospital
this is not fun

Jeez, Alecto You really aren't having a lot of luck at the doctor's office.. Sounds like (keeping in mind that i don't really know what i'm talking about) they damaged the vein when they stuck you. I'm thinking that the damaged vein was leaking blood, which then formed your bruises. Ok... enough easychair doctoring from me ;D. I hope you're ok!

Yesterday while I was at work, my boyfriend and his friend picked up my car so they could work on the brakes. Anyway, after that we all went out for lunch. I felt pretty strange, since his friend was there with us. He's a nice guy and all but I just felt uncomfortable having that extra person for some reason.
Then last night I had to take care of my dog, she was bitten by a spider and was up crying all night, so I didn't get much sleep.
