I know how it feels, the first week of college last year I actually cried because I knew that nothing was going to change. The whole year I ate alone, studied alone, and felt alone. I was alienated from everyone else, and they knew it; it felt humiliating to walk past people in groups and there I was by myself. I think you have two choices; you can try and do something about it (see a counsellor, join a club, get some hobbies that involve other people), or you can do what I did and go into depression. I am now less than a week away from starting my second year of college and I don't know what to expect. It will either be another year in the wilderness all alone or there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

You sound young. In your teens and early 20's most guys think about sex and not much else (sorry to generalize, guys, but it's true and you know it! ) It's not all of them, but most arent' looking to be tied down and get a bit freaked out if a girl has feelings too quickly. I was the same as you. Most guys will mature but some will always be jerks. You dont want to talk to a counselor, understandable, but it may help. That's what they are there for. Could you talk to your parents about any of this?

Jemma I know what your going through and its truly the pits, but have the courage to take the advice of others who have been where you are and have progressed with their life. There is more to life than high school ok. And there is more to life than finding a boyfriend. There are people all around you in real life(i betcha) and online who will open up to you if you just let them know whst your going through. No need to bare your soul, but everyone gets lonely, many people get depressed and many people are ready and willing ot be there for you. augiestarch@hotmail.com
