That's great. I am always comparing myself to other people and I never feel like I'm good enough. Also about the reading thing, that's great that you're learning more of what you want to know.. even when I am learning more, sometimes I feel like I'm such an idiot and why bother because everyone else knows more than I do about a subject anyway and I can never catch up. So you're right in doing things to compare yourself to yourself and what you've accomplished instead of trying to catch up with everyone else.. that only makes you miserable. This is why I feel like I need alone time, because there is no one there to put me down. I feel like I am put down about something all the time and I am tired of having to defend myself, because even when I'm defending myself I still feel like I'm wrong. I haven't read in awhile either but it makes me happy. Right now I think I want to get all of Henry David Thoreau's stuff. I think I prefer nonfiction to fiction though, like you guys were talking about reading a novel.. I think I might prefer a college textbook.. well, to an extent anyway, lol. You're right GreenFerret, about saying that most positive threads get boring and there's nothing to discuss.. maybe that is partially because of what pnats said, that people like to wallow in their misery... maybe not wallow, but people seem to want to discuss their problems more and get their thoughts out in order to feel better and have other people hear them, whereas if you're just telling everyone how happy you are, not only does it make miserable people more miserable but there's nothing really to say. Of course we all have a right to share our happiness, but there isn't much to say about it all the time. But this thread has become interesting for some reason.

Decided to do Flash animations. It is fun and very addictive. Working out always makes one feel better, i know. Yesterday, i was able to bench press 205 lbs. I'm back to my high school level of weight lifting again!! Now all i have to do is get back in running shape. Chasing girls would help in this matter, i think.

Made a way cool flash kaleidescope Point the way to these ninety dollar tickets! I'd go every summer if it cost that little. I can't even take a crappy Greyhound to LA for that price. The improvements I'm making: opened up a savings account then opened up a better one, got a chunk of my credit card debt into a much lower interest account, cut my food bill in half a couple months ago and still going strong, haven't bought gas in two months, have kept my room clean for three weeks straight, a world record, bought my ticket to Argentina (not for $90!), cut my car insurance bill in half, and I'm eating a heck of a lot healthier since I squeezed my food budget. It feels good to get stuff done for once!

If it is, you'd find that even sydney-perth one way would cost more than $90. Wished there were $90 tics other way round from perth to elsewhere. It costs a fortune to fly from perth to anywhere. So when ru comin back to perth.

Yep I have heaps of frequent flyer miles so yeah it was really only $90. I'll be back in Perth end of August! ;D
btw, a full price ticket from where I am to Sydney is going for around $1169 through discount places and $1500 through my airline.

Yes, V, international man of mystery ;D. It's Austin!? Wow, I didn't know his mojo worked through the interweb... Do you still get the pretzels? If you pack them I guess. I wouldn't recommend too many drinks though, unless you find a way to urinate through bubblewrap...
