So I was coming back from my class on the bus... a guy sitting in front of me glances at me and opens his mouth as if he's about to say something... then he looks at me again... and then stops.
This made me remember something random that happened in elementary school....
I think it was in 3rd grade. During recess, I was just standing around, doing what I usually do (because I had no one to play with and didn't like playing by myself)... and then some random girl comes and hugs me. She realized I wasn't who she thought I was and ran away.
Yes, that was random. Anything like that ever happen to anyone? lol ;D

This is indeed a very random thread. Random things seem to happen to me a lot.

Ok, so I won't make this thread totally dead. I'm just going to put random things that happen to me here. For instance, last year, I locked myself INSIDE my room. Couldn't get out... I had to wait for my roommate to come back and let me out. I was 15 minutes late to class. I've also broken 3 of the same thing within 2 days. It seems that wherever I go, things tend to break. So.. yeah... this'll be my random life happenings thread-thingy-mabobber. Last night, a CUTE GUY I know knocked on my door. That never happens... but it was only because he was looking for someone else... sigh... why does stuff like that always happen to me? I was also listening to Mad World from Donnie Darko over and over yesterday... I don't know why. Edit: I forgot to mention that I also got a piece of pencil lead stuck inside my foot in 5th grade. I never told my parents so it just stayed in there, and my skin healed over it. I can still see it in my foot today.

I like this post ;D
I don't know if it's totally random things, but I've noticed that sometimes I get into the strangest situations. I have enough to write a whole book on.
- One summer almost every single electronic thing I owned broke all between June and July. My computer, my hairdryer, 2 walkmans, a pair of headphones, a tv, a fan, mp3 player, cd player, radio/tapedeck, my curling iron, an electric pencil sharpener, alarm clock, and my truck had brake problems.
- That same summer I was riding my bike on a trail and after my mp3 player had broken I had to resort to listening to a walkman with a cassette tape I had just taped songs onto moments before. As I got onto my bike I pressed the play button and I could hear music from both sides of the tape playing simultaneously. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I went back home and asked my dad if I could borrow his walkman to play my tape on. He let me have it and I set out to ride my bike again.
All was well, until I had gotten to a point on the trail where it was narrow and I had to go by a creek. This particular creek is usually dry, but it had rained recently so it was full of water. As I got closer I saw a cow was standing in my way on the trail. So I rode up close to her thinking she would move, but she stayed. As I tried to stop I lost my balance and fell into the creek. I ruined my dad's walkman, my own pair of headphones, the tape I had just made, and my bike was in pretty bad shape as well.
- I also seem to get locked in places. As an infant my mom accidentally locked me in the car quite a few times, in several different cars my seatbelt lock has gotten stuck where I could not get out of it, once both door handles on my truck were jammed shut where I had to climb out the window, and last year at work someone accidentally broke the door lock while I was on one side and they were on the other. It happened on a Sunday evening and it was pretty hard to find a locksmith. When one finally came, he couldn't get the door lock working and it took him nearly two hours to break the door open.

Ok, so this isn't totally random, either.. but it is still random... because technically everything is random... or something.
Anyhow, yay (and boo) spring break has started for me! This Spring Break I signed up to go on a trip to do community service stuff in New Mexico.... and I'll be going with 6 other people I don't know. We'll be driving... it's supposed to take 22 hours or something to get there.
So we leave tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning, but the thought of the trip scares me. We met up once and ate dinner together a while ago so we could get to know each other, and I ended up not really saying anything, as usual. I'm afraid that this trip is going to be really awkward/nerve-wrecking the whole time for me. They probably already think I'm really boring. I want the trip to be fun, but I don't know if it will be. I want to be able to talk to them, instead of sitting in silence, but I just never know what to say!!
But I guess I really won't know how it will be until the trip starts, huh? Maybe I'll be fine and it will be blast... maybe. Oh well, at least I'm trying something new.

^ Hmm, I never wrote how spring break went.
Well, it wasn't good... it wasn't bad. The road trip going there and back was kinda fun, and the weather was nice. I actually said a few things here and there... but... I still didn't say much on the whole trip :-(. I didn't really make any friends, either, considering I didn't really talk... but there was one girl from another university that would TRY talking to me... she would always start by saying "I really like your <insert article of clothing>! Where'd you get it?" It was kind of funny. But... yeah, that was pretty much my spring break.
Ok, on to typing about random things....
I was crossing the street, and I almost got hit by a car today. I heard the car squeal, and it stopped about a foot away from me. It was my fault for not looking before crossing the road, too... I HEARD the car coming, but I still didn't stop.. haha. Sometimes when I cross the road I kind of wish a car would hit me, though.. just to see what it feels like (yeah, I'm strange...)
I also had a conversation with my friend about how donkeys say "hee-haw" and cowboys say "yee-haw". Yeah, it was pretty random.

My roommate was bawling for half an hour yesterday. She was crying because she had no one to go with to church today. She was calling her boyfriend (he went home for the weekend) and crying about it. She called her mom and cried about it (saying how she wishes she could be with them on Easter... and she didn't have anyone to go with). So I felt sorry for her, and being the nice person that I am, I told her I'd go to church with her. That didn't help at all. It made her cry EVEN MORE... actually, it seemed to make her angry. She told me it didn't matter if I went with her because I'm not religious (which is true.. I'm not religious at all)... so I just said sorry... but she finally ended up going with some other girl who was going to church with her family... so whatever. I don't know why, but I found the whole thing pretty funny... probably because I am just a horrible person.

Although I do seem to notice people sounding their car horns as I'm walking past every so often, but maybe its just a combination of coincidence and paranoia. Although I'm sure several weeks ago, someone was waving at me from a car as it was stopped at the traffic lights...random I guess It couldn't be anyone I know, since I don't know anyone. lol

When I was eating dinner last week, there was a girl that kept waving in my direction. I just glanced up at her a few times. I didn't think she was waving at me because even when I see someone I know and think he/she is waving at me, they are waving at someone else. Turns out, the girl was waving at me. She seemed somewhat familiar, but I couldn't tell who she was. She came over to me and asked if I remembered her, so I was honest and replied with a "No... not really". She told me she lived on my dorm floor last year... a few doors down from me. I felt bad for not recognizing her (I usually remember people VERY well), but I think I only spoke to her once or twice last year, anyway.

Yesterday I was walking home from work and this car drove past. I heard someone shout so I looked up and saw two dumbf*cks waving their (tatooed) arms and shouting at me from the car's windows, for no obvious reason...weird and annoying people... I do hate it when people wave in your direction though...I never wave to people in public...would hate for someone else to think I was waving at them when I wasn't.

Yeah I always wondered about that why people feel compelled to shout at strangers and it is always when you are alone. I have never felt the urge to shout at people walking along as I am driving.

I have been shopping on ebay way too much. I usually seldom shop but it is like a giant garage sale and I didn't even have to schlep out at 6am on a Friday to get the good stuff! That is what my parents used to do every weekend almost was drive way out in the country and go to some auction. It was a blast. Some local church ladies would make the food and man was it good. Real homemade cooking. (I can cook like that now go me!) Anyway back to ebay, clothes, shoes, perfume, bras, etc all for cheap! I heart ebay!

Sometimes I feel like dressing up all fancy but I feel like if I did I would need to have some place fancy to go to buy the fancy outfit and wear it.
There are these cute halter tops on ebay that have just lace leaves up the back and they are so cool but I don't dare buy one as where would I wear it? It isn't like I would wear something like that out in public anyway.

It's amazing how people can change when they get behind the wheel. Some people get this sense of empowerment, and I guess we all can be guilty of this to an extent. Especially, when it comes to pedestrians/cyclists. I ran cross country/track for 4 years in high school, and now I alternate between amateur cycling/running. So, I could share plenty of stories similar to yours. Fortunately, I haven't had anything thrown at me (I had a friend a couple years ago get an orange thrown at him, he had big bruise on his chest). Not much ya can do, just shrug it off
