My job ended Friday and I went home and sobbed for awhile.
It is an odd feeling spending every day with a group of people and I know I will never see them again.
Yesterday I started to get things in order to leave. I did some of my work paper work and started washing everything. I don't think I can do without Tide detergent. I have to bring some with me.
It is strange to think one day my life is this way and the next it is something else. I'm quite nervous.

I feel like writing for some reason. I have been here for nearly 2 months now and I find the adjustment to a new country harder than I expected but easier in some ways. I worked like crazy when I first got here and landed a great job; a supervisor role. I haven't started working yet and find I am bored but at the same time nervous about starting a new job with new people in a different culture. In my job, I'll probably get to travel some which might be nice. As I posted before, I got my dream house I thought about for years and am moving in next week. I am quite nervous about it and hope I can handle it. I guess I am feeling overwhelmed. My gardener called the other day asking me questions about the property which I couldn't answer. He said he would come over after I move in and discuss things. It feels weird having a gardener. That's for fancy folks. I'm trying to decide on a car and talked to the bank about a loan the other day. I think I'm going to go for the "treat" car instead of the sensible one. I don't know. I think I am depressed. I'm renting a car soon and am going to try to get out to the park. I'm afraid of getting lost and I haven't driven a car in 2 months either. I got my shiny new aus driver's license and haven't even used it yet.

Well, I think you'll do great. You've been through a very eventful few months and are at the start of a new phase of your life--it's gotta be normal to feel a little overwhelmed and uncertain, lol. I'm wondering if things might start to settle down once you start work and get a bit of a routine going. Less time to sit around letting the worries sink in and all. Sounds like you're really cruising with the move, the job, the house, ... I take it there's still a guy in there somewhere too. ;D yes, get out of the house pnats. have some fun! It's so easy to say that from the comfort of one's own computer chair, huh? ;D

Haha, I meant more that I might be a little more tempted to echo your words if it wouldn't make me such a hypocrite. Although I expect it'd also be harder to "get out of the house" in a country you're still rather new to. besides, i have fun in the computer chair on occasion too. haha...okay...i just realized that sounded weird. ;D That didn't sound weird; it sounded perfectly normally dirty... ;D

Thanks all! I am feeling a little better today. Plant therapy seems to help. ;D ;D Here are the ones I bought. I put them outside my bedroom window so I could see them when I wake up in the morning.

For somet reason these photos seem kind of boring. Oh well. First is a photo of the kitchen in the new house. 2nd is this espalier. I have no idea what it is. It sort of looks like a Camilla. 3rd is my newly planted front rose garden. I put 5 in here and 1 big one in the back. I got up the next day to put my trash out and there was a large mangled bird. Yuck. I should've taken a pic of that.
