I have lived in my house a month and have completed the 3rd week of my job! YAY! I am adjusting better now. I feel like I belong here. Going to a job every day really helps that. I don't think I'm a good boss. I like my job a lot and my workmates. I'm making friends there. My boss is great. Work places in Aus are so much more laid back than in the US. People always seem to be gone on holidays. I don't know how they get any work done lol! Maybe that is why they hired the foreigners to do the work so the Aussies can go on holiday. ;D I'm enjoying my house. I get lonely sometimes but it is nice that the bf is just a few miles away instead of zillions of miles. It is nice to be able to see each other on a regular basis. Ok got to go put my wash out on the line.

A year has passed. Guess I should update.
Lots of stuff happened in the year I have been here. Well it really has been 14 months now.
I still drive down the road and look around thinking WOW I really live in Australia! lol
BTW today is talk like a pirate day! YAR!
I am a good manager but I don't like being one all the time.
I have had 2 jobs since I moved here. The first one I liked much better and had friends but they didn't want to pay me so I had to move on.
The job I have now pays a lot more and I do a lot less work lol but I haven't made any close friends. Plus the work is fairly boring but they extended my contract another year so I am sticking with it.
I've lived in 2 houses since I have been here. Just moved into this house a few weeks ago. The owners were selling the other one and my former dream home become the home from hell.
I think my commute to work is the most perfect ever! I always see some sort of wildlife and wildflowers on the way to work. Pretty nifty.
I've been very depressed. I won't take meds for it though. I am done with that.
I have been going to counseling for my problems.
She tells me I have countless options and opportunities and I do but it is hard to move forward on them.
I'm very lonely here. I'm wondering if it is just me.
I've had some disappointments since I have been here.
It is funny the things I wasn't so sure about turned out really well. The thing I was very sure about, not so well.
One thing I know is money doesn't buy happiness

HA someone else's alarm has gone off! and I was enjoying my peace and quiet. The orange blossoms smell divine. Oh well the kookaburras seems to love it! I'm sitting on my sofa on the front porch enjoying my morning coffee. I have a new friend. Don't look like no wild bunny to me lol I love wisteria in September. I didn't even know I had this until i saw it in full bloom. Also it's wildflower season

The world is my oyster!!!
I totally rock this place!!!!
It is a brand new year and it is full of exciting things!
I'm free white and over 21! ;D
Any more cliches I can add to the mix?
The next step is my permanent residency visa. That means I can stay forever and ever and a day!
I'll most likely buy a house next year!
I've lost 10lbs!
Go meeeeeeeeeee!!!!
