I read his book. It was pretty good. The only thing that made it hard for me to relate to at times was the fact that Jamie wasn't a shy child - he was always very out-going, and his social anxiety seemed to appear out of nowhere. I've had anxiety for as long as I can remember. Nevertheless, the book was still pretty inspirational. I'd recommend it.

Yeah, he seems quite shameless now. That's a drastic turnaround!

What kind of sorry ass son of a bitch is getting on your back? You don't deserve any of that shit! I find it really hard to believe someone could be rude or mean to you. What kind of crap are we talking about here? Hell, i'm not even sure what your job is Pea, but no one should have to put up shit like that. What's wrong with these people at work? Why can't they get along with others? You have to.

Sometimes people go postal in the workplace. I've seen it before too. Once a guy had a heart attack at his desk after getting in a shouting match with some manager. Luckily he lived.
People are just really wound up tight.

no, let me explain. i just was walking back to my desk and ended up between two people engaged in a shouting match. they weren't yelling at me. then of course, everyone was uptight the rest of the night. i know i probably overreact to stuff like this, but can't help that. always been that way. whaat kind of job do you work at? Most jobs I really don't feel like killing anyone. most...

well, i don't really want to say too much about it. let's just say it involves everyone having a computer and a desk in a cubicle filled office. the thing is there are performance standards that we have to measure up to. people, being people and all, can sometimes get competitive ... and kaboom!! if it has to do with salespeople then...they are ebil

oh hell no! couldn't abide salespeople for any amount of money. (apologies to anyone on the board who's in sales.) Well, i used to sell groceries if that counts. Not that i was very good at it.

lol...well i didn't figure there'd be alot of salespeople on a shy board, but just mentioned it in case... HeHe. Its okay, salespeople are evil, but often times they're just caught in the trenches and the only options available are going over the top or start smoking.

Salespeople have caused to boycott two companies. Radio Shack and Circuit City. I've gone into their stores and the salesman are just terrible. One guy was literally greasy! He had grease all over his hair and face. I went in to buy some automotive fuses for like 1.50 and he starts asking me about my cell phone plan. Look pal I don't want to buy a cell phone today. "Oh Im just trying to save you some money!" Yeah right. Don't do me any favors Ghandi.
I think these places lose business because of the salesmen they have. Once I bought a TV at circuit city and the jerk tried to sell me a bunch of extra cables and crap and a power strip and of course the useless insurance. The more I thought about it the angrier I got and finally I returned the TV to circuit city and got one at best buy instead.
So to sum up,
radio shack = circuit city = bad
best buy = good
