I definitely find there are certain types of music that put me in a better mood... or even feeling a tad more confident. Songs that hold happy memories are great too. But then there are also times where I can choose songs that reflect my mood. I suppose it depends whether your a fan of music or not? ACDC does it for me!

I find hiphop does this for me...especially gangsta rap. I know it's some ghetto-mentality, wanting-to-be-tough shit, but it boosts my confidence nonetheless. It's weird huh..I can't really explain it. Maybe by listening to the stuff constantly, I kind of "feel" I'm a stud deep down (haha I don't do anything violent though) and feeling that way makes me more confident. Same thing with Grand Theft Auto.
A little ghetto mentality can be good for shys.

I can relate to this totally. Music is my main passion and the songs I listen to definately affects the way I feel. One song that can make me feel really confident is Thin Lizzy's "Do Anything You Want". Here's some of the lyrics;
There are people that will investigate you They'll insinuate, intimidate and complicate you Don't ever wait or hesitate to state the fate that awaits those who Try to shake or take you Don't let them break you
You can do anything you want to do It's not wrong what I sing it's true You can do anything you want to do Do what you want to
People that despise you will analyse then criticise you They'll scandalise and tell lies until they realize You are somebody they should have apologised to Don't let these people compromise you Be wise too

Singing along to an upbeat song is really helpful with anticipatory anxiety, and anxiety in general.

It really boosts your confidence. . . __________________________________________________ self confidence Free Report reveals how to develop self-confidence. I'm very much into music & the nice effects it has on my mood. Must be why I spend so much of the day with my headphones on.
