I suppose this might help someone who is suffering from social anxiety/phobia over someone who's just shy, because programs like these - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_brainwave_entrainment_software - seem to target these ailments in particular. I've been using the anxiety and depression sessions on Neuro-Programmer 2 for a few days now (every morning) and it seems to help. Effects can supposedly be quite permanent. It's shareware (trial period only) so you have nothing to lose by trying it.

I'm very skeptical of anything that tries to alter brainwaves for verious reasons. And I do not trust it.
It seems to me more like Brainwave entertainment then anything else. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
The real work is doing the work. For example mental work, like CBT, meditation, relaxation tehniques, psychotherapy .. it's all kinds of things one could try and then it's important to do something, to act with baby steps, not to overwhelm yourself. And being persistent at it.
