I think that's kind of true. Apparently my music is intense and rebellious, reflective and complex..and sort of energetic and rhythmic.
I used to hang out with someone called Oscar who had almost exactly the same music collection as me (which is very strange cos it's a bit eclectic), and we were so amazingly similar. He just wasn't quite so shy. It was incredibly weird. I'm really sad we drifted apart actually.
And I think we do choose varieties of the same type of music to reflect our moods. If I'm a bit down, I'll always choose something a bit gloomy to wallow in my sadness. Which is a bit stupid really. Very stupid. I'm a fooool

I've got a dorky, folky taste in music which I think suits me. I am pretty outdoorsy, I like to camp and hike mostly so my taste in music sort of fits the mold. I like music that I can actually hear the lyrics and hear each instrument although, some good techno can get me pumped up for athletics. I mostly buy greatest hits albums or soundtracks. Oh and, I'm not a fanatical type of person but, I love, Love, LOVE Billy Joel. LOL I know, DORK g3netix, It's hard to read into your Bee Gees craze LOL

Yourm love of the Bee Gees tell me that the men in white coats are on their way, G3netic. And as for publically admitting a liking to Billy Joel....!
I'm a bity like Inky. My taste in music varies according to my mood. From Radiohead when I'm down to dance stuff when I'm feeling good.

I m a big big music fan, i could listen to music 24 hours a day. My taste in music evolves very much...It started with kylie minogue when i was 12 Later it became grunge music like nirvana and smashing pumpkins when i was about 16.. Lately i listen a lot to Maxwell :he has a really smooth sound.I also like different languages in music, like portugese or spanish (cfr omara portuondo) - i like travelling and these sounds make me dream about sunny places i want to visit one day..

Just copied Radiohead's new album off a friend. It's truly truly wicked!
I really like Spanish/Portugese jazz sometimes. It's so happy and lilting. Does make you think of lazy summer days. Talking of foreign music though,I heard some French hip-hop the other day. It sounded so so wrong.
...almost as wrong as the BeeGees. Haha. No, I actually used to really like them when I was younger.

My favourite period is undoubtedly the 60's. But as I get older I seem to like a few more dancey tracks (I don't know whether this is some early form of the male menopause and I'm merely missing my early youth and am unconsciously trying to keep up 'wiv ver kidz'). Have always liked what is called 'alternative/indie' stuff. Started off with the Bunnymen, then REM, Primal Scream dance rock and the last genre I really liked was grunge, particularly Nirvana. Don't go with the argument that if you like 'alternative' stuff you must be rebellious - that would make everyone who attended the same concerts/ bought the same records the same type of person (although I know the argument put forward was more complex than that).
