From the 1991 Walt Disney Movie : "Beauty and the Beast" Gaston: " Le Fou , I'm afraid i've been thinking...." Le Fou: " A dangerous past time...." Gaston: " I know....." So simple, and so true.

For some reason, this one sprang to mind...perhaps not necessarily as a favorite, but memorable?
Marlon Brando in "Apocolypse Now":
"The horror....the horror..."
I guess you have to see the movie to appreciate it...it doesn't read like much on a computer screen. It gave me chills.

Uma Therman: "Why do we feel its necissary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable? John Travolta: Idk that's a good question" Uma Therman and John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction" Yeah, I like that one, too. Plus the girl’s next line: “That’s when you know you’ve found somebody special, when you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence.” ---------- From It's a Wonderful Life.... “I’m shakin' the dust of this crummy little town off my feet, and I’m gonna see the world!” – George Bailey - George Bailey: "What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary." Mary: "I'll take it. Then what?"George Bailey: "Well, then you can swallow it, and it'll all dissolve, see... and the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair... am I talking too much?" (Might as well just say, this whole scene: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC1HT3UjyDA&feature=related) - Clarence: "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" ------------- And….Here are some quotes that have been floating around in my head lately. From The Graduate: Mr. Braddock: "What is it, Ben?" Benjamin: "I'm just..."Mr. Braddock: "Worried?" Benjamin: "Well..." Mr. Braddock: "About what? " Benjamin: "I guess about my future."Mr. Braddock: "What about it?" Benjamin: "I don't know... I want it to be..." Mr. Braddock: To be what? Benjamin:[looks at his father] "...Different."-- Mr. Braddock: "Ben, what are you doing?" Benjamin: "Well, I would say that I'm just drifting. Here in the pool."Mr. Braddock: "Why?" Benjamin: "Well, it's very comfortable just to drift here."Mr. Braddock: "Have you thought about graduate school?" Benjamin: "No."Mr. Braddock: "Would you mind telling me then what those four years of college were for? What was the point of all that hard work?" Benjamin: "You got me."--------------------- From Saturday Night Fever (lots of great lines/dialogue in this movie, imo) Tony: "Oh, fuck the future!" Fusco: "No, Tony. You can't fuck the future; the future fucks you. It catches up with you and it fucks you if you aint' planned for it."-- Frank Jr.: "They (their parents) turn you into what they wish at a time. You can't defend yourself against their fantasies. All I ever really had any belief in was their image of me as a priest. That's all." -- Frank Jr.: "Tony, the only way you're gonna survive is to do what you think is right, not what they keep trying to jam you into. You let 'em do that, and you're gonna end up nothing but miserable." ------------------------------ Anyway, I love quotes. I'll end with one that I just heard this weekend, which I thought was hilarious.... George Simmons: "You moved to Kansas. Am I supposed to visit you in Kansas? I thought that's why you moved there, so you didn't get visitors." --from Funny People

wow nice list, Straw ;D! -- and yes, I thought your George Simmons quote was hilarious!!! (I adore comedy)
let's see...favourite line from a movie, i have so many i bet this is gonna be another 'long-winded' post on my part, lol...
I probably posted this before, so if u read it before, please scroll down to something different lol...
V The Final Battle movie 1983 when Robyn realizes that the baby she's carrying is a lizard; she says to Julie (the med student/doctor of the Resistance):
"Julie....you have to get....rid of it!"
"Robyn, what are you talking about?"
"I want an abortion, and I want it now!"
Robyn's dad: "C'mon Robyn cut that out!!!"
Robyn: I DON'T CARE YOU HAVE TO GET RID OF IT! - IT'S NOT GONNA BE A BABY! IT'S GONNA BE SOME HORRIBLE THING!"
Julie: "Robyn, are you absolutely sure about that (concerned)?"
Robyn: "Brian's the only guy I've ever slept with."
(I love dialogue; i used to write plays in grade school: soon as I got my typewriter from my grandfather for my 13th birthday, and it wasn't long after that that I started writing stories/plays...I even wrote a star trek story called "The Golden Starship" which the teacher read it to the class, lol - well they were glad because they could get out of grammar class, lol!)
Sandra Bullock - The Net part 11 (from youtube)
At the Mosconi Centre she goes to a computer and has just the info to the FBI...
Devlin: Get away from the computer! what did you think you were trying to do--save the world???
Sandra: No not the world, just myself.
Devlin: ah, well, i'm afraid the offer's been withdrawn.
Sandra: oh, you might want to look on the screen--because everything on that disc was just sent to the FBI: everything.
Devlin: So?
Sandra: So...proof that the Gatekeeper Program has a 'back-door'...
Devlin: my, my
Sandra: proof that Bergstrem and Dale's murder were orchestrated by Gregg...
Devlin: watch her. The beauty of the Gatekeeper System is that we can get in and out of the FBI like it's the public library. It's a beautiful system--
Marx: Just finish the work and get the hell out of here; these people make me nervous!
Devlin: No harm done. Everything you've done will be wiped out by just escaping the system.
Sandra: Really?
(Devlin presses escape)
Marx: ...Damn it, you're in the mainframe! It's eating through Gregg's entire system, Devlin, DO something! Devlin, it's a virus eating through the Gatekeeper Program - there's gonna be nothing left! Everything will be destroyed!
That above dialogue was my favourite part of the whole movie; it did my heart good when that virus ate through that program. Then everything reverted back to how it was before: and Angela Bennett got her identity back!!!! YAY!

Great Scott'' great line choices, pt88: I especially like the last one: he's one of my favourite actors--Christopher Lloyd i mean (who used to be in the comedy show Taxi late 70s also starring Tony Danza who went on to star in Who's the Boss). I love anything sci fi related; especially involving time travel ;D!

Thanks, Audio. ---------------------------- From Fallen: John Hobbes: “There are moments which mark your life, moments when you realize nothing will ever be the same, and time is divided into two parts: before this and after this. Sometimes you can feel such a moment coming. That’s the test. Or so I tell myself. I tell myself that at times like that, strong people keep moving forward anyway, no matter what they’re going to find.” --- From The Nanny Diaries: Annie Braddock: “My desire to be an observer of life was actually keeping me from having one.” Annie Braddock: “There's a common belief among anthropologists that you must immerse yourself in an unfamiliar world in order to truly understand your own.” --- From Network: Howard Beale: [shouting] "You've got to say, 'I'm a HUMAN BEING, Goddamnit! My life has VALUE!' So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, [shouting] Howard Beale: 'I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!' I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Things have got to change. But first, you've gotta get mad!... You've got to say, 'I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!'" Howard Beale: "You're beginning to believe the illusions we're spinning here. You're beginning to think that the tube is reality, and that your own lives are unreal. You do whatever the tube tells you! You dress like the tube, you eat like the tube, you raise your children like the tube, you even think like the tube! This is mass madness, you maniacs! In God's name, you people are the real thing! WE are the illusion!" Howard Beale: "This is not a psychotic episode; this is a cleansing moment of clarity."

theres only one line that comes to mind right now which is from an anime series called "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" but it is also a movie with the same quote so anyway. (At the start of the series) "Don't believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you!" - Kamina (By the end of the series) "Don't believe in the you who believes in me, or the me who believes in you. Believe in you, who believes in yourself!" - Kamina also "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?!" - The Dai-Gurren Brigade. By the time the anime is at the final episode, it's gotten so epic its mind blowing

From Prozac Nation:
Elizabeth: "If only my life could be more like the movies. I want an angel to swoop down to me like he does to Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life" and talk me out of suicide. I've always waited for that one moment of truth to set me free and change my life forever. But he won't come. It doesn't happen that way."

I swear, I know the Disney Movie Aladdin like the back of my hand, lol. This one came to mind about Aladdin describing Jasmine: ..."she's got these eyes that just, oooh...and this hair...wooow and this smile, *sigh*" Genie (something french, but it was pronounced, "la me say la mo" Aladdin "But she's a princess." (pauses)"Hey, can you make me a prince?" Lol, I thought that part about he explaining Princess Jasmine's beauty was so cute and then he goes after her. Another one when where he was on rug and at her balcony Jasmine "riiight, a prince like you...AND EVERY OTHER STUCK (SOMETHING) I'VE MET!" Aladdin "wha" (Aladdin said what just like that, LOL!!!) Jasmine "Oooh, just got JUMP OFF A BALCONY". ...sigh, love has so many contradictions.
