I wanted to know what type of music everyone liked to listen to.
I'm really into a variety, from Popular to gospel to soft rock, But my all time favorite is oldies. I don't tell many of the people my age that, they'll undoubtedly mock me. But I can never get me enough of the Beetles James Taylor, Chicago, or Earth, Wind and Fire.

But I can never get me enough of the Beetles James Taylor, Chicago, or Earth, Wind and Fire. Oh, my gosh!...*squeals*....I'm pretty much the same way! Which, I wasn't sure if there was anyone else out there similar to me who was into the same type of stuff and around the same age. I can also listen to many types of music, but my first choice would also be some of the older stuff. I really like 70's music. I absolutely love James Taylor! I also like the Beatles, Jim Croce, and Simon and Garfunkel, and quite recently I've been listening to the Carpenters a lot. I find their type of music relaxing and calming to listen to. I've also been wanting to get a Carly Simon cd, because I've heard a a couple of her songs before and really liked them. I've kind of gotten crap for liking the older stuff. Like, my sister...whenever she hears me listening to older stuff and enjoying it, she just gives me a weird look and always says something like, "you've always been into that old stuff, haven't you" and then she's said that I was born in the wrong generation...which really, I've always felt that way, but she just seems to say it like I'm really abnormal or something. I don't really care that much, though, because I really like this type of music and I'm glad I don't just act like I like all of today's music because that's not me. As for other types, I really don't like heavy metal at all and don't care about rapping. I'm not much into country either, but I do like some of it...it just depends. And a few artists I like from modern music are John Mayer, Christina Aguilera, and Avril Lavigne. They're the main ones, because a lot of the times it seems I'll only like maybe one song by a group or whatever. I also like big band music and classical music....probably a definite rarity for someone of my age.

I mostly listen to underground rap, everything from gangsta rap, political rap, backpack rap, socially concious rap and more commercial stuff, mostly westcoast stuff. Also listen to some RnB and lately started listening to The Smiths as I want to expand the type of music I listen to.
